"I called the the morning of my appointment to confirm my insurance will cover cost of the appointment as Zocdoc said it was in network along with 200+ other insurances. They confirmed I wouldn't have to pay anything and my insurance would cover full cost. As I was walking into the appointment I got an email from my health insurance stating an out of network Dr (Dr Patel) contacted them to check my status. Of course when I arrived the receptionist let me know I was out network after I re-asked how much cost would be / if my insurance would cover. They had me wait in the lobby for 30 minutes until their billing department could call me to confirm the cost as I said I wouldn't see the Dr without knowing cost. The Dr gave me a schpeel about how it may be cheaper if I saw him instead of an in network Dr (which has never in my life been my experience.) while I am well aware of how unethical health insurance companies are, I didn't appreciate the Dr giving me information that honestly didn't make sense and felt salesy. Also don't appreciate them listing themselves as in network on Zocdoc, but when you get in, they note you're in fact not in network & make you sign a waiver acknowledging that only one obscure insurance company is in network. Overall, if you re hoping to use your health insurance, note this doctor is out of network. The entire experience felt shady, unethical, and was a waste of time. At the end of it they marked me as a no show on Zocdoc (which could affect my future appointments) so I couldn't leave a review on there. I was literally there for an hour and was not a no show."

"I saw Dr. Deepan Patel and he was absolutely great. I was having ankle issues and was pretty concerned. He took his time listening and clarifying what I felt and examining me. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel like he genuinely cared. My ankle has since improved - thank goodness! Definitely recommend!"
