"Nursing home workers are some of the hardest working and compassionate people of all time. They often get overlooked in recognition and appreciation. I'd like to recognize a few of the staff members at Avantara Aurora for their tireless efforts to make residents feel valued and cared for. CNA's Christina, Yolanda, Olga, Nakina and Jessica. RN's Laura and Amaka , Kim in laundry services and Abby in housekeeping. I also want to recognize and thank the activities staff Paula and Karl who are incredibly kind and are forever engaging residents with games and activities that keep them active, happy and engaged."

"My father just completed an 8-week stay at Avantara Aurora for sub acute care. Every aspect of the care he received during this stay was excellent. We found the administration, nursing, CNA, housekeeping and dietary services caring and always willing to go out of their way to assist us in every element of his stay. In addition to the quality care, the facility is very well run and very fairly priced. I highly recommend this care facility when considering options for care of your loved one. A special shout-out to several staff members that continually went above and beyond to make his stay there great...Jason, Ashley, Jen, Altice, Yana, Adrian and the entire PT/OT staff. "Had my father-in-law there and it was awful. He fell in the bathroom after no one came to help him get back to bed. Why was he left alone? He laid there for a while until they found him. Very banged up. Transferred to ER for treatment. We weren't notified until 5 hours later. When I went to gather his belongings there was blood from The bathroom door to the middle of the room they obviously dragged him. No one talked to us or called us. I did report this the State."

"Everyone was extremely friendly. If I had any questions or concerns, if they didn't have an answer they would ask someone who could answer my questions. I knew that my husband was on good hands while he was there."

"Not quite sure where to start..my grandmother was here for such a short period of time before we removed her to a different place for short term rehab. This place is absolutely horrible. The few nurses that I had encounters with had horrible bed side manner, and showed absolutely no respect to my grandma or our family. Most of the people we came across including a few CNAs were very odd and had very nasty demeanors. I don't recommend this place to anyone, I'm in the health care field and I would never treat my patients or family the way Avantura did in such little time. It's no telling what was happening when we left at night. Please do not trust this place with your family members."

"All rehab centers have staffing issues, but hopefully patients have an advocate - family member or friend - to ensure the patient is getting the care they need."

"My Aunt has been here for 1 month and she absolutely adores the royal treatment. From the receptionist staff that is always on point greeting us making us feel like we are VIP, the nurses, CNA's, the people that make the food I never have a dull moment. There is always a staff member that is making sure everything is going good. I am amazed and so blessed I found this place."
