"I've been receiving excellent from Dr. DeCaria and her staff for 4 years now for relief from life altering pain caused after L5-S1 surgery in 2020. The treatments have truly given me as pain free a life as I once had. I'm able to sleep, sit, walk, swim, dance and keep up with the people in my life, young and old, as I did before I developed spine issues. Before and after care communication - do's and don't I need to follow - have remained as thorough now as it has since my first visit. "I contacted Dr. DeCaria's office after a friend had spoken very highly of her and recommended I reach out to obtain a consultation. When I phoned the office, I clearly reached either the receptionist or a medical assistant. This individual asked me to provide a brief history of why I was interested in seeing Dr. DeCaria. I provided a concise medical history, explaining that my spine is fused from L2-S1, I have had complete bilateral foot reconstruction, and I am diagnosed with (Overlap Syndrome) of SLE/Scleroderma (autoimmune diseases.) Based on Dr. DeCaria's website, there are many modalities, injections and procedures that would have been extremely helpful to me as I manage my disease processes. The individual who took down my information explained that she would share my information with Dr. DeCaria and determine next steps (consultation, provide imaging, etc.) A few days later, I received an extremely curt phone call from receptionist/MA, who informed me she spoke with Dr. DeCaria who asked her to tell me that she doesn't "see patients like me." One glance at the services offered on her website directly address my conditions and would have been a valuable asset to have in my arsenal to live a full and fulfilling life despite these conditions. Apparently, Dr. DeCaria likes to "cherry pick" her "patients" based on her interests, not on the well-being of potential patients. I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years and I have never been treated in such a degrading, disrespectful and dehumanizing way. Be careful if you choose to engage with this provider. A warning to all."
