"I fractured and dislocated my radius and ended up with surgery. 5 stars for Dr Rosenstadt. He is an excellent doctor and surgeon who explained my injury in simple precise language. I liked that he offered two options and clarified the recovery phase for both. I elected to do surgery, and it went very smoothly. The team at the Surgery Center was warm and professional and I felt well taken care of. The cast came off this week and at the followup appointment, the doctor answered my questions and was extremely clear about the next stage and what to expect. Four weeks after my injury, I have a brace but am pain free, med free and doing extensive OT. Unfortunately this positive experience is partly clouded by pre-surgery process that seemed a little disorganized. I had to make two trips from the 6th floor office to LabCorp at the lobby level, and waited over an hour to get the paperwork from the doctor's staff for pre-surgery medical clearance. The day before the surgery, despite multiple messages and phone calls with the office (11 by my phone record), the prescription for post-op pain meds did not get to the pharmacy till early evening. As a result, I did not find out about insurance issues until I came home from surgery the next afternoon, when I was in a post surgery haze after the nerve block. It was an unfortunate stressor at the end of a long day, and not an ideal time to argue with Duane Reade or the insurance company. 4 stars for the office staff."
