Testimonials
"In May of 2024 I shattered my ankle, and the first doctor who worked on it (NOT DR. MALONEY) did not do a great job fixing it. A few months later, he informed me that I would need to have another surgery done to remove a screw, which I was not told at the time of the first surgery. I was in pain and could not walk properly - like he told me I should have been able to at that point. He could not do this as he did not have an "ambulatory medical center". I spoke with several different podiatrists to get their opinions, and nowhere else could remove it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, in October 2024, I met with Dr. Patrick Maloney at Mercy. He told me that my ankle joint would be worn down within A YEAR, and suggested that we have the whole surgery redone. I was only 22, and did not want my ankle to be in pain anymore, so I agreed to another surgery. Dr. Maloney and his team were fantastic every step of the way! Everyone there took such great care of me before and after the procedure. This surgery took about 8 hours, so I know his work is thorough. Not to mention, his work looks so much cleaner & straighter than the result of the first surgery. I just saw him recently for my 1 year follow-up, and everything is still looking great inside of my ankle! All of my gratitude to Dr. Maloney, and the rest of his team and staff at Mercy!!! If you have any podiatry issues, or break your ankle, try to go to Dr. Maloney. He is the best! Attaching my before & after xray images."
"Dr Maloney operated on both my left and right big toes to correct a very painful condition (hallux rigidus aka turf toe) I had been dealing with for many years. It's been more than 2 years now since I had surgery on my right big toe and about 18 months since I had surgery on the left foot. My only regret is not getting it done sooner. Dr Maloney and his team were fantastic from the start. I could not recommend him more highly. I can now walk our dog for more than a few minutes every day without feeling atrocious pain in my toes. My wife is thankful that I don't complain about my feet all the time. If you're on the fence, schedule a visit with Dr Maloney. You too could improve your daily life and reduce or eliminate the pain."
"I had shattered my ankle 32 years ago which over the years had led to very painful arthritis of the joint. 2.5 years ago, I had an ankle replacement done locally, however, I continued to have pain and mobility issues. After 2 additional surgeries to try and alleviate the pain with no success and feeling rather hopeless that the situation would never improve, I was referred to Dr Patrick Maloney for revision surgery. He has been an absolute godsend. 3 months post-surgery I feel Dr Maloney has given me a new lease on life. The improvement even at this early stage of recovery is astounding. There are really no words to express how thankful I am to him. Dr Maloney is an amazing and skilled doctor and surgeon. Traveling 2+ hours for my follow-up visits is so worth it knowing the quality of care I am receiving! If you are having foot/ankle issues, I highly recommend you look no further than Dr Patrick Maloney."
"Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Maloney. My ankle surgery was a huge success due not only to his expertise, but the time he took to explain the surgery and recovery to make sure I had the best experience. Dr. Maloney is down to earth and relatable. Highly recommend Dr. Maloney for ankle issues/surgery."
"I am so thankful that I found Dr. Maloney through a recommendation from a complete stranger. When I met Dr. Maloney in early April 2023, he took the necessary x-rays and then told me what caused the pain in my left foot. I am 75 year old women, and I've always been extremely active and I was getting to the point where I could barely walk. Dr. Maloney recommended a mid foot fusion and he also told me what it would take on my part to make sure that I went through the Post surgical procedure and allow my foot to heal correctly and not mess up the implants. I felt like I was in a partnership with Dr. Maloney. He did the surgery and I followed his instructions. It was the best experience because it basically gave me back my ability to walk and run without pain. I couldn't have picked a better surgeon or hospital to give me a new lease on life."
"I have a long history of ankle injuries and in March 2021 I pretty much mutilated what was left of the tendons and ligaments of my ankle. I went to a local doctor in Delaware and when I learned I needed surgery I decided to do a deep search for great ankle/foot surgeons. I never expected my high expectations to be met let alone exceeded. Deciding to have Dr Maloney perform my surgery is one of the best decisions I've ever made. From my first appointment to my last over a year later and Dr. Maloney and his staff have been nothing short of phenomenal. The morning of my surgery I expected to feel a lot of anxiety, the nurses and staff didn't even give me a chance. They were SO kind, assuring, and supportive and truly made me feel at ease from the minute I walked in the door. My surgery went great and I can do everything I couldn't before. My ankle healed beautifully and I'm back to hiking 15-20 miles at a time and biking up to 25 miles at a time with no pain or discomfort. It has been just under a year from my surgery date and I cant recommend Dr. Maloney enough. I'm hoping my other ankle holds up for life but if not - I know exactly who I'll be going to."
"January last year I very badly broke my ankle to the point where it needed surgery. Now, thanks to his expert skills and a Physical Therapy place I also gave a 5 star review on, I am fully recovered and am able to comfortably work a full time job that has me on my feet for 8 hours. I would recommend him to anyone who needs ankle surgery."
"Dr, Maloney is simply the best. His entire staff was wonderful throughout all my visits, and surguries. I was barely able to walk on my foot and ankle prior to my ankle replacement. Withing a year, I was easily walking and hiking several mile a day, and climbing stairs. I never thought I would be able to get around pain free. Thanks to all the staff that helped get back on my feet again."
