"I was referred to Dr Vernenkar because of severe abdominal pain & an ultrasound that revealed I had gallstones & I was recommended by my GI to consult with a surgeon to have my gallbladder removed. He told me that he would not remove my gallbladder until my symptoms worsened. I asked him if this was a condition he expected could improve & he told me it would not. I left very confused & consulted back with my GI who agreed that Dr Vernenkar is not their first choice for a referral, but I had requested someone more local & he was the only one. Dr Vernenkar himself did not speak very highly of my GI either, honestly I felt caught in the crossfire & did not feel like I received adequate care from either. After several more severe gallbladder attacks, I reached back out to his office, made another appointment & was rescheduled twice because he didn't fill his morning schedule & took the rest of the day off. The second time I was rescheduled, the receptionist did not put me on hold & I could hear her talking about me & saying some very upsetting things. I ended up finding my own general surgeon at Thompson Health Canandaigua who is AMAZING. He told me there's no way my gallbladder was at a 'wait & see' point & that I was not in good shape based on my initial ultrasound. My personal feelings are that Dr Vernenkar discriminates based on insurance. Can't prove it, but I've also never dealt with a 'doctor' like him. Staff was never friendly & eventually just rude based on my experience with them on the phone. Horrible experience."

"Dr. Vernankar and his staff are amazing. They are knowledgeable and went above and beyond my expectations. The intake process was efficient to say the least! They explaned everything in detail. Offered me Post-Op pain management solutions, as Im a recovered opiate addict and elected to not use any narcotics for pain relief. He introduced me to the On-Q Pain Ball which is non narcotic. I did my research for Hernia Repair Options and Practicioners prior to selecting Dr. Vernenkar. Im glad I did. No regrets. Thanks again, Dr. V and staff! You guys are amazing."

"Dr vernenkar will always hold a special place in my heart he removed my gallbladder for me .. I had a preoperative appt with him scheduled for March first and literally cried because I felt like I cut into his already busy schedule.. Dr vernenkar explained I didn't have to apologize and that he just wants to get me feeling better to say he made me feel calm before my surgery is a huge understatement him and his anesthesiologist made me feel extremely comfortable with undergoing the surgery and the nurses where phenomenal as well Dr vernenkar is hands down the best Thank you Dr venenkar Sincerely sheree s"
