Testimonials
"Dr Henshaw is horrible. I had a meniscus tear surgery around four months ago (September, 2025) with Dr Henshaw. I have been in pain every day since. It's now January 2026. He told me it would start to feel better within a couple months. Im a middle class guy so I get no subsidies for my insurance and my deductible is high. I paid thousands for my surgery with Dr Henshaw. I paid him in full directly after the surgery. When I went to get my insurance for the next year in December, Access Health switched me to Anthem from Connecticare. I had an appointment today to see Dr Henshaw so he could do an xray and write me a script for an MRI to find out why my knee still hurts so much. I realized a few days ago that maybe Anthem is not in network with Dr Henshaw. I called Dr Henshaws office to ask and they said they dont take Anthem and I would have to pay full price for the visit. They didnt know how much that would be. I then called Access Health and switched back my insurnace to Connecticare just so I could see Dr Henshaw which I was having second thoughts about because my surgery obviously didnt go well. I also read all the horrible Google reviews about Dr Henshaw so I was kicking myself for not researching him more before. Access Health told me that my policy with Connecticare would start again on February 1st. It's only January 7th right now. I then called Dr Henshaws office again to tell them that I switched my insurance back to Connecticare for this but would he be ok with giving me a set, reasonable price for me going in to see him today to talk about my knee and do a simple xray. His secretary Gabby said she would talk to him and get back to me about this. She never called me back so the day of the visit I called their office. When they asked Gabby about it, instead of Gabby talking to me, she told them to tell me that I would have to wait until I have Connecticare again in February. I told them that means I would have to wait another month in pain to find out whats wrong and I just want to come in for a simple xray and conversation. I had already paid them thousands and I was planning on paying them for the visit and paying them for a potential second surgery if needed. I just wanted a set, reasonable price for this visit because we all know how I could get a massive bill a month later for a simple knee xray. They said no. I then told them that I would go to Google reviews for how they were treating me. Gabby never called me back so I called again and they sent me to the Director of Operations, John. He told me that Dr Henshaw didnt like what I said about the Google reviews but he would be ok with seeing me if I signed documents saying that I wouldn't go to Google reviews about him and that I would pay the full price of whatever the cost of the visit would be. I told John that Im asking for a reasonable price on this visit so Dr Henshaw is saying no to me and on top of saying no, he is telling me I have to sign a document saying that I wont write exactly what Im writing now on Google reviews. I said that wont work for me and John said good luck to you and they don't want to have a relationship with me. It's easy for them to walk away from me, I however will have a harder time walking away from them with my knee killing me every step I take. John reminded me at the end of the conversation that its been 90 days since the surgery so they arent liable for any damage that Dr Henshaw did to my knee. I will be asking a lawyer if that is correct. Im also going to write about this all over social media and anywhere else I can."
"Never had any issues with Dr. Henshaw or affiliates. Just had my second shoulder replacement this morning. Everything went well with the surgery and immediate recovery. My first replacement was about four years ago and there wasn't any issues at any point. I expect today's surgery will not be any different. Dr. Henshaw is one of the finest surgeons I've had the pleasure of visiting for a surgery. He is thorough, completely knowledgeable and professional. He explains every detail of the procedure even up to letting me know what to expect during healing and recovery. I would trust him with any orthopedic issue that might arise. Sincerely, Pastor Doc Lynch New Milford, CT"
"Dr.Henshaw is a very fine surgeon. I was not, I feel , educated enough as to the results of this shoulder replacement and what it meant for the following year of my life. ie: antibiotic usage for dental work forever!, lengthening of impacted arm, arthritic consequence and paralysis sensation of impacted hand, realistic recovery times for driving ability, daily ritual usages, ect. Dr. Henshaw was not very sensitive in helping me understand the extra long healing time I experienced and the pain it incurred, possibly due to my advanced age? I was not 'feeling sorry for myself', as Dr.Henshaw stated, merely explaining the frustration and pain I was having while attending therapy 2-3 times weekly while doing all recommended exercises. Also, I was not 'made privy' to my requested test results in an adequate manner...perhaps due to the office routine, but certainly not usual for patients and their personal medical files. shoulder replacement March, 2023"
