" I can't say enough great things about this physical therapy office! From the moment you walk in, Paula at the front desk makes you feel like family--she's warm, welcoming, and always on point with scheduling. I came in with a pinched nerve in my neck that made my fingers go numb and knees that acted like stairs were a personal attack. I expected pain. I didn't expect to laugh so much on the way to healing! This all-women dream team of therapists is amazing: Nielsen is the Singing & Dancing Queen of Healing. She moonwalks to Michael Jackson while guiding you through stretches. Her energy is pure joy--therapy feels like a musical! Zelinda, aka The Warden, is a tough-love Christian powerhouse. She pushes you with precision and prays with purpose. My neck moves again thanks to her no-nonsense care. Anne is laid-back but low-key intense. You think it's an easy session until you realize she just convinced your knees to do more than they ever agreed to--and somehow you're thankful for it! Bottom line: this place is healing, fun, and full of heart. My body's stronger, my spirits are lifted, and for once... I actually look forward to physical therapy."

"I was very happy with my physical therapist Ms. Owens. She was knowledgeable about the exercises and stretching I needed to perform to relieve the pain in my lower back. The facility had up-to- date equipment and my therapist was cognizant of the need for privacy when conducting massages. I can now use what I learned at the NovaCare Ft. Washington facility at home. My pain has improved dramatically. I would recommend this facility."

"NovaCare Rehabilitation provided me with top notch service! It was a 5 minute drive from my home which was very convenient for me. Customer service was excellent and friendly. My physical therapist Nielsen Atchinson offered superior service and effective advice during each session. She made what some would consider challenging sessions exciting and fun. Her pleasant and friendly personality permeated throughout the entire center. The therapy I received was highly effective in treating the issues I was having with my hip. The sessions also motivated me to increase my physical activities daily. I would highly recommend Nielsen and NovaCare to family and friends."

"Office staff that are not doing their job and are hostile to me if I question them. My doctor originally wanted me to have in-home PT for the first couple of weeks that he would schedule for me, then switch over to going to a facility for the PT. I was told by NovaCare staff that Medicare would make me wait 30 days after getting the in-home care before I could get the remaining PT. That was NOT TRUE but I had believed them at the time so I scheduled all my appointments with NovaCare. I had submitted all the paperwork I thought was needed and asked several times if they had all the paperwork they needed from me and was told everything was ready. When I arrived for my first appointment, I was told that I needed to submit an additional referral from my primary physician. I said I could have it FAXed to them the following day. When I called the next day to see if they received the referral they said they had but now they cancelled all my appointments and had to reschedule them all over again. That put me a week behind schedule. I rescheduled but then after my second appointment, they called to tell me that they had to cancel my next 2 appointments and gave no explanation why. They just closed the office. In the meantime I was losing precious time to get the physical therapy early as my doctor wanted. I finally changed to another establishment. I then called NovaCare to cancel ALL my appointments. In a couple of days I called again to be sure they were cancelled and they had done so for only 1 week. If I had not corrected them they would have charged me for 8 appointments I had asked to be cancelled. In addition the person I talked to was very hostile to me when I asked for written proof. It's not my fault they can't be trusted. NovaCare use to be a good place to go for PT but not any more. They are not only incompetent but are actively destructive. Paula is the only office person that is capable but she was not working during my interactions with NovaCare. I had gone to them 2 different times in the past I will never go to them again."

"I received excellent care from the Physical Therapists at NovaCare Rehabilitation Center in Fort Washington, Maryland. Shannon, Emily, Anne and Zelinda are very professional, while keeping a friendly atmosphere. The Front Desk Staff, Paula and Loretta, are very helpful including scheduling the appointments. "I live in Maryland and used to go to Virginia for physical therapy -- and after my recent shoulder replacement surgery, I couldn't get into Mt Vernon but NovaCare worked with me to get in in quickly which is what the doctor required. I didn't expect I would stay but I was hooked on the practice after the first visit and wow! I am so thankful I found them!! It doesn't matter which therapist you see -- all are women -- and they all know their business 100% if not more. Schedules are impeccably on time, the front desk staff are efficient and if you can believe it, it's almost enjoyable -- a welcoming, friendly place. I've been through a lot of PT and this is THE BEST. It's like going to visit friends instead of going for torture."

"The staff at NovaCare Rehabilitation facilities are great. I recently had a total knee replacement and they were excellent in helping me with my recovery! They care about what they do and are very professional as well as a lot of fun to ease your worries and fears of pain and lack of confidence in moving through you current physical situation.
