"I have had amazing experiences with Nia, Summit, and Dr. Button. My back pain has significantly decreased and all of these individuals have taken extra steps to make sure they understand the whole picture, as well as create a thought out treatment plan specific to my life and needs."
"I love my doctors. I love the staff. The billing department is the worst department ever. You get overcharged, then they back charge you. Moving forward, never again if I have to have services. I will go somewhere else. No wonder the quality staff they have is leaving shame on you CEO!!"
"This review is for acupuncture with Rania Abou-Samra. Rania was AMAZING. I am sending my whole family to work with her including my young child who suffers from skin issues and allergies. She sat with me for over 30 minutes just talking through all of my medical history, allowed me to explain all of my concerns and asked questions about my intake form. She works directly with the functional medicine doctors and will compare her work with my blood work to see how we progress. She really is a blessing and I feel lucky I found her! She is an expert with years of training in different subjects of wellness and is so well rounded. Looking forward to working with her on my postpartum and health journey."
"My recent experience at the Lincoln Square location for a vitamin infusion did not meet the standards I've come to expect from Aligned Modern Health at other locations. I decided to keep my infusion within Aligned Modern Health, but next time I will go back to where I used to go, which is closer to my home and costs the same. This casual wellness visit left me with bruises on both arms from a 30-minute vitamin infusion, which should not happen. As someone with chronic illnesses, I've had regular hours-long infusions for years since childhood, and those didn't even leave my veins with this much trauma and pain. The nurse was very sweet but clearly frazzled. It started with her struggling to figure out how to put the blood pressure cuff on my arm, and went downhill from there. The IV infiltrated on my left arm, requiring multiple attempts on my right arm. This is the 2nd time in my whole life this has happened - the first being in a high-stress ER in downtown Chicago. I ended up bleeding more than expected from both arms, and my blood dribbled onto my arm, which she left there. She eventually wiped off the blood after the infusion but placed the bloodied alcohol wipe directly on the drink table next to my recliner. (I really hope they sanitize it between visits) Moreover, she handled my IV and cleaned the blood off my arm without wearing gloves, which was the most concerning part. Many times she would start touching me and then remember part way through to put on gloves. I was also disappointed that none of the employees were wearing masks, nor did anyone offer to wear one while providing care for an immunocompromised and sick client, wearing a mask to receive an immune-boosting IV. The infusion room itself was a bit of a bummer. It didn't feel well-maintained or like a place meant for relaxation. I literally saw the wheel pop off the cart containing all of the nurse's supplies causing it to tip over, which added to the overall sense of disarray. I was also surprised at how sluggish the staff seemed upon my arrival. The receptionist had called me with an unsympathetic tone 10 minutes after my appointment time as I was running late. When I arrived 15 minutes past my start time, I expected the staff to be ready for me, but I actually had to wait for forms to be brought to me and finish check-in procedures that the receptionist forgot to do after my infusion was over. While I've had great experiences at other Aligned Modern Health locations, this visit was disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the service and care at the Lincoln Square location. As it's already out of the way, I do not plan on returning."
"I've been coming to Aligned for about 2 months for acupuncture. I've been seeing Andrew and have had great results. I was having migraines regularly and those have gone down. He's also worked on my arthritic hip, inguinal hernia, anxiety and knee pain. He's patient, understanding and explains everything he is doing. Highly recommend Andrew!"
"Aligned is the best! Their staff are friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. Everything was very clearly explained to me, and I love how they view treatment as wraparound. I came in with nearly constant neck pain and they completely relieved the pain and taught me how to keep it at bay. I walked away with no pain and am so glad I came here. I can't say enough good things about the team at Aligned and I recommend them to everyone! I see Dr Herrera as my chiropractor, Connor for physical therapy, and get acupuncture from Andrew Lenz here and all of them are excellent."
"My brief experience with Align Modern Health was frustrating and extremely unprofessional. What started out as a promising first impression of their functional medicine practice and Dr. Herrera was quickly soured by the baffling ineffectiveness of other staff members and a general lack of transparency and communication that appears to be the ethos of the clinic as a whole. I am uninsured and was pursuing my treatment as a self pay client. When I first reached out to Align Modern Health in January they assured me that they do work with self pay clients but the events that transpired after lead me to believe otherwise. They wasted my time and money and I do not recommend this practice especially if you are pursing your treatment out of pocket. Your care will not be a priority to them. After my initial intake I had multiple follow up appointments cancelled on their end, one day of- one two days before when scheduling is a bare minimum of 3 weeks out resulting in my care being pushed further and further away with every cancellation while my symptoms worsen. An appointment to review the results of bloodwork they had taken was canceled only hours before its scheduled time because they, "didn't order all the right tests" and this apparently wasn't realized in the weeks that passed between my appointments nor when I called a few days prior to reconfirm my appointment time. I needed to be rescheduled for an additional blood draw and the next available appointments were another 3 and 4 weeks away. I had to wait to be rescheduled, then my reschedule was again canceled on their end two days before. At this point in time it's been nearly two months of waiting for them to correct their own error. This is when I gave up. I feel disrespected as if I wasn't a priority because I didn't have the endless billing potential of insured patients. During this whole process I had zero follow up or direct communication with Dr Herrera after our initial meeting. I had no access to my patient portal because whoever set my portal up initially entered my email incorrectly and no one attempted to correct this. I was given a temporary access code to upload documents for intake and then repeatedly locked out of their system despite trying to recover my login. I received no documentation of the care plan or tests that were supposed to have been ordered, let alone an estimate breakdown before hand. I only received this information after telling them I was no longer interested in moving forward with them because I demanded they release my records to me so I can take my business elsewhere. Was this their goal all along? If you don't want to work with uninsured patients just say so. This place is at best case scenario unprofessionally disorganized, lacking in clear communication- especially between their branches and continuously understaffed for their scheduling demands; and at worst callous, disrespectful of your time and potentially delaying care to self pay clients intentionally and purposefully. To what end? Since I don't have insurance they can't exponentially mark up services and get paid without any questions? It just really seemed like they were first trying to feel out how much money I was willing to blindly fork over before deeming me a priority. I don't even know if Dr Herrera is aware of how this process has gone for me (considering there's been no communication since our first meeting) but is this how you want your care to be represented? And if you are aware... shame on you. It is not an exaggeration to say I receive more attentive and respectful service at the veterinary clinic I take my pets to. This is the kind of dismissive treatment I've received at hospitals prompting me countless times to delay seeking care and look for alternative routes in the first place. If this is the standard of care all Aligned Modern Health patients receive it's a wonder this place is still in operation or is this just how you treat patients that don't have insurance? Don't waste your time, because they certainly will."
"Dr. Bruene has been great to work with, and his recommended therapy and recovery time is going exactly as planned. I'm pain free in just weeks! The Aligned team at Logan is also super friendly and fun to work with. 10/10 recommend! I've already referred several friends -"
