Testimonials
"I had a great delivery last week, and just wanted to share how great of an experience I had. I used Stamford health throughout my whole pregnancy and had a positive experience. The actual delivery and stay was special because I genuinely felt cared for and listened to. The room service and food was also excellent and nutritiously thought out. The hospital is modern and up to date. Thank you again to the whole women's specialty center."
"My recent stay at Stamford Hospital was one of the worst healthcare experiences I've ever had. I was admitted with rhabdomyolysis, already in significant pain, and the care I received made an already difficult situation even harder. I was given a PureWick device that was not properly maintained. It was never changed, and the bed became soiled. The pad underneath me was only changed once a day, which led to my skin beginning to break down. By the second day, after I was finally able to shower, I refused to use it again. Instead, I endured the pain of walking back and forth to the bathroom, even though I knew it could potentially slow down my recovery. I rarely saw the nurses. They would come in to introduce themselves and then disappear. I often had to repeatedly press the call bell just to request pain medication. A majority of the CPAs treated me as though I was a bother, with visible attitudes that made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed. Being hospitalized is already a vulnerable experience. Being stuck somewhere involuntarily and treated poorly made it even more traumatic. I would never return unless absolutely necessary. Stamford Hospital, you have to do better. Patients deserve dignity, attentiveness, and compassion. I wouldn't recommend at all"
"I had the pleasure of delivering both of my babies at Stamford Hospital, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The nursing staff was incredibly caring and attentive. During my second delivery, things progressed so quickly that I gave birth just 30 minutes after arriving, which meant I couldn't receive an epidural. Unfortunately, my husband missed the moment because he was parking the car with our son, but I felt completely supported by the nurses and the on-call doctor. The level of care I received post-delivery was exceptional, from the follow-up by the doctors to the attentive food service and regular vital checks. I truly appreciated how the staff respected my choices, whether it was opting for lower doses of pain relief or choosing to formula feed. My experience with my first delivery was equally positive. The nurses took the time to teach me about postpartum wound care and provided all the necessary supplies. They also guided me through the basics of breastfeeding. On both occasions, they ensured I had extra supplies when I needed them and that both my baby and I passed all necessary checks before we left early. I recommend Stamford Hospital to anyone considering delivering here!"
