Samantha G

"I now have chronic pain from an injury sustained in a session with Shaun. His colleague was personal training me and I sustained a knee injury in a session with her. She brought me to Shaun to rehab my knee. I had never had an injury or pain before and didn't know how to navigate it. Shaun did continuous PT sessions with me for 1.5 years on and off, without having an MRI to guide his treatment, and without a medical doctor seeing me and assessing me. I have since learned it is NOT NORMAL to have no medical doctor involved in an injury causing chronic pain. I have since learned it is NOT NORMAL to be in continuous physical therapy for a year and a half with no end in sight. I have since learned it is NOT NORMAL to push myself and lift heavy kettle bells for knee rehabilitation. Shaun took thousands of dollars from me and saw me continue to have knee pain for 18 months -- until he finally caused a back injury. I told him my knee was especially hurting me one session, and I was around 6 weeks postpartum and not fully recovered from pregnancy, but he pushed me to lift very heavy kettle bells which caused an injury at the base of my spine. I have now had chronic back pain for over 4 years. I've had multiple MRIs, seen multiple back doctors, spent thousands more dollars addressing this, tried every treatment under the sun to try to relieve this debilitating pain -- and have been suicidal, deeply depressed, and seen an unbelievably plummet in my quality life after being a very happy normal person before ever meeting Shaun and his personal trainer colleague. If you're seeing Shaun and haven't seen a doctor - red flag. If you're seeing Shaun and haven't gotten an MRI - red flag. If you've been in continuous PT with Shaun for more than 3 months - red flag. If you feel Shaun is pushing you to lift heavier weights than you intuitively feel you should in a physical therapy rehab session - red flag. Shaun should not be providing physical therapy services without an MRI guiding the plan and a medical doctor overseeing treatment. I've thought about writing this review for the last 4 years but have never written a bad review in my life and wasn't comfortable with it. But the drastically atrocious way Shaun's treatment and resulting back injury and chronic pain has impacted so many elements of my life, and my family's lives who've had to support me, have been too great and have gone on for too long to avoid telling my story and hopefully helping somebody else in a risky and vulnerable situation with Shaun. I hope this helps somebody."

"For more than a year I was dealing with hamstring pain due to a slight tear and scarring. I went to see Tim after not having any success with multiple chiropractors. Tim helped work on strengthening the area through progressive exercises. After a few months, I noticed a reduction in pain. While I no longer see Tim on a regular basis, I continue to work on the exercises weekly. I'm incredibly grateful for Tim's help and expertise, and I especially appreciate the structure of the sessions and the progression of the treatment."

"Shaun is the absolute best physical therapist in NYC! He has treated me since early 2023 for a range of different weaknesses/injuries. From strengthening my SI joint a few months before the Boston Marathon to treating Achilles tendonitis in the off-season, I can always count on Shaun to give quality treatment and excellent rehabilitating advice. I also appreciate how every appointment with Shaun is one hour of 1:1 care--you can't find that level of undivided attention anywhere else. I can't recommend his services enough!"
