"1 star. I was seen 12/18/2025 by Dr. Ramani Peruvemba (Holy Cross / Trinity Health Pain Management, inside Holy Cross Hospital Silver Spring). I'm visibly disabled. Nobody provided clear directions for where to enter, hospital check-in, accessibility routing, or parking logistics. In a hospital setting, that's basic. The appointment itself ended in a way that still shocks me: the staff eventually helped me with a wheelchair, but once I went to the restroom, and came back, Dr. Peruvemba had already left. No wrap-up, no explanation of next steps, no treatment plan. Just a wheeling out of the office. Afterward I was told by nursing that he would not prescribe tramadol, and I received a written message saying he "does not feel it is in your best interest to prescribe narcotics." That's vague, and it was not paired with an alternative plan. When I called the next day asking what the plan is instead & asking about mobility support (walker?), my questions weren't addressed. A callback was promised and never happened. I called at 3:50 PM and reached voicemail even though they list closing at 4. I eventually reached Dr. Peruvemba through an after-hours line. He said he'd need to see me again before considering tramadol and mentioned trying to order a walker, but when I asked what the actual pain management plan is going forward, what my next step was, he ended the conversation! If you're a chronic pain patient, especially if you're disabled and need clear access support, be aware: I got poor communication, a medication refusal, & no coherent plan. I had to contact other urgent care and crisis lines as I had a breakdown. I am not even taking the tramadol I have left since I don't want to only have it run out later anyhow. So I am left in horrific pain (can't sit upright or stand, I wall cling and bounce off walls to get around) for the weekend. Check your options first."

"After years of suffering with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome I continue to visit Dr. Peruvemba for possible treatment or advice on my condition. Very well informative and I'm comfortable with his treatment advice."

"Dr. Peruvemba is the world's top pain specialist. To support my statement; I had my first injection yesterday by Dr. P for my excruciating hip pain for months. It's a miracle that I was able to sleep last night feeling only a little bit of discomfort in my left hip. I was able to sleep from 11pm to 11am this morning! Another miracle because I haven't been able to sleep for months due to the pain. Dr. P's office staff are highly professional, pleasant and friendly. I must mention Dr. P's assistant Jay is the world's kindest human being. Yesterday was icy cold in Maryland. After my injection Jay helped me on a wheelchair and transported me from the doctor's office to the elevator and transported me all the way to the parking lot and helped me get into my car. I never met such a kind and considerate person in a doctor's office in my life. To me Jay is my angel. Thank you Dr. P and Jay and everyone in the front office. Thank you for such a great experience with all of you!!!"

"Dr. Peruvemba is a great physician. He treated my mother with respect. Unfortunetly I cannot say the same for his receptionist, Victoreen. We called to schedule a follow up appointment. She called me back to inform me the insurance is inactive. I assured her it is. I work in the medical field and ran this on EPIC that morning and it was active. She insisted she need was going to cancel her appointment until we resolved the issue. I said, well maybe someone needs to call the insurance directly, like we do for our patients to ensure they get efficient care. I even stated I would pay upfront for the cost of this visit. She said I do not work billing, you mothers insurance is inactive I am cancelling her appointment and hung up on me. As a health care worker myself, this is the worst treatment I think I've ever recieved. I tried calling the office back multiple times and she never answered."
