"Dr. Wetzen is friendly, professional, medically effective, and a wealth of health knowledge. Some background - I am a very active (play athletic sports 3x/week) 40-something year old who suddenly incurred severe lower back pains after playing a weekly sport I've done for decades. There was no acute "injury", so I thought it would go away like many sports-related pains have done over the years, but this one was very different and was a constant pain for 2 weeks straight. I took a large dose of Tylenol daily just to get through the day, and it wasn't really helping to make the pain go away. I didn't want to mess around with my back, so I knew I had to get some help. I came in from a recommendation by a friend and haven't regretted my decision a moment since. To begin with, Dr Wetzen gave me a thorough consultation and showed me x-rays he took of my newly-discovered (to me) curved back (left to right curved, where it should be straight!). He laid out an overall care plan for me and made sure I was involved in the learning process along the way. He taught me so much about my body and health and how everything is interconnected, especially in relation to the nervous system. And that was just the first day! At the time of this review, I am currently 12 visits into my 36-visit plan. My pain subsided by my 6th visit, and I haven't needed to take pain medication since. I don't ache in the morning waking up, and my range of motion has increased. While I am not completely "fixed" at this stage in my recovery journey, I have significantly improved by way of Dr. Wetzen's professional care, of which would not have happened on my own or via medicine. I've included photos of the office space in case anyone is curious. The atmosphere is professional, calming, bright with lots of windows, and conveniently located in Falls Church. There is constant background music, a TV screen that has medical information of interest, and informational, motivational, and encouraging quotes throughout the office (even on the ceiling and upside-down on the walls for when you are receiving care that requires your body to be in various positions - how clever!). Please know that I sought opinions for my pain/injury/condition outside of chiropractic care, including a podiatrist and an orthopedics surgeon, both of whom agreed with my decision to seek chiropractic care and recommended I continue Dr. Wetzen's care program. I hope you will consider Dr. Wetzen for your medical needs. I would highly recommend Dr. Wetzen to anyone who is in pain, doesn't want to band-aid pain with medication, and/or thinks surgery is the only option."

"I've had a great experience with Dr. Wetzen! the staff are friendly, the space has great music and a calming effect. The chiropractic services are unmatched in the area in my opinion. Dr. Wetzen combines traction with the adjustments to provide a long-term plan, which is more than I've had done from any other chiropractor in the DC area (and I've been to over 7 different chiropractors over about 15 years in the area). Dr. Wetzen's services are phenomenal for correcting the spine for preventative health care. Following his guidance has corrected my posture once in the past, and now that I'm back, I realize how much damage can happen in the in-between time, which lets me know this second time around I'll be staying consistent a lot longer after the corrective phase of treatment!"

"I have been having back pain for the better half of my life. Blame poor life choices but also a childhood accident as well. As an immigrant who got his life together not too long ago I am very careful about where I am spending my money as I do not have plenty of it. This year I decided to take care of my back pain because it has expanded out to my left leg. I saw Family & Sports Chiropractic ad on Facebook and decided to give it a go. Started with an appointment with Dr. Wetzen and X-Rays. The X-Rays gave me a lot of insight on what is wrong with my spine and neck. Where the most work needs to be done. The thing I really like about Dr. Wetzen is that he had a plan that he had a plan for my treatment and I am a month into that 3 month plan feeling a lot better. I was in constant pain and that thankfully has gone away in a month. I have make great progress and I am pretty hopeful by the end of these 3 months I will be even more better. The clinic staff is very sweet and amazing. They are constantly monitoring you and looking after you throughout your visit. Definitely going to recommend this if you are seeking relief."
