Decision-making process - 5 stars Dr. Allert guided us through the decision about whether to proceed with surgery with remarkable care and transparency. He reviewed everything thoroughly, explained the pros and cons clearly, and even consulted colleagues across the country before making a final decision. This was not a rushed call--it was a thoughtful, collaborative process that also considered how our special needs son might tolerate the procedure and recovery. Pre-surgery preparation - 5 stars Dr. Allert and his team worked with us to find a date and time that fit my son's needs, even being mindful about fasting and scheduling to make the experience smoother. On the day of surgery, both Dr. Allert and Dr. Sherman, the anesthesiologist, met with us to review the plan once more. Their calm, respectful manner helped my son stay relaxed. Surgery and follow-up - 5 stars After the procedure, Dr. Allert met with us to explain how everything went and what to expect next. What truly stood out was that the very next day, even though it was a weekend, Dr. Allert personally called us to check on our son. That level of follow-through is rare and deeply appreciated. Support staff - 5 stars Across all our appointments with Dr Allert, every single member of his staff has been a pleasure to interact with. A special mention to Leslie Bonilla, Surgical Coordinator, whose thoroughness and kindness made the process smooth from start to finish. She handled scheduling with the hospital, insurance coordination, follow up with our pediatrician and neurologist, and assistance with school letters and post-surgery therapeutic equipment. She was consistently prompt, caring, and professional. Overall experience My son received exceptional care here. Dr. Allert is a rare blend of expertise, empathy, and humanity. Despite his demanding schedule, he has the gift of making each patient and family feel seen, heard, and understood. His approach to our son during all our interactions has been nothing short of extraordinary. We are profoundly grateful that our son is under his care."
