James Mendler, MD - Holy Name Physicians

"Dr Mendler was very knowledgeable in evaluating and diagnosing arthritis in my knee. I appreciated that he also suggested safe ways for me to continue with my vinyasa yoga practice by modifying poses, in order to avoid further deterioration & pain in the knee. He also recommended PT treatment in order to strengthen the muscles around my knee. I have seen him twice in the last few months, and previously a few yrs ago for problems with my other knee. I was very pleased with Dr. Mendler as he was friendly and easy to talk with, up until today. I needed him to complete paperwork (to submit to my employer for needed accommodations) which would enable me to attend PT, I had to repeatedly call for the past 3 wks. In the end Dr Mendler refused to complete these forms. Dr Mendler may be an intelligent doctor, but in my opinion he did not show any interest in helping me with practical matters that would facilitate my well-being. What good is it to have all that knowledge if you can't put it to good use for your patients. Now, I have to start from scratch and find another doctor, and in the meantime I have not been able to receive the much needed PT for my knee arthritis."
