"If I could leave a 0/5 star review I would. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Dr. Yoshihara and this office today was so unacceptable that I feel it needs to be shared. My first visit with Dr. Yoshihara a few months ago left me unimpressed -- he talked over me repeatedly, focused on bragging about his "20 years of experience," and never truly listened to my concerns. I decided to give him a second chance because getting an orthopedic appointment is hard, and I was hoping things might improve. Today confirmed that won't happen. * My appointment was scheduled for 3:00 PM. I was brought into the exam room at 2:20 PM, which made me think I might be seen early. * Dr. Yoshihara didn't enter the room until 3:45 PM -- 45 minutes late -- with no apology or acknowledgment. * He immediately sat at his computer for a couple of minutes without speaking to me or asking about my pain. * Without doing any physical assessment, he told me my current pain "has no clinical indication" for an MRI. For context: I am experiencing 9/10 pain every time I sit or stand, and it significantly impacts my daily life. * I explained that the pain management specialist he referred me to last time doesn't have hours that fit my work schedule and doesn't work weekends. I asked if he could provide an MRI order so I could seek care elsewhere. He refused and continued to dismiss my concerns. I left that room feeling unheard, invalidated, and completely disrespected. I was in tears by the time I reached the front desk, where thankfully a kind receptionist named Crystal and a patient satisfaction manager named Melody, listened to me and even acknowledged that they have received similar complaints about this doctor before. If you value your time, your pain being taken seriously, and basic respect from a healthcare provider, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was a waste of my time, my energy, and my trust."
"Go anywhere but here! If I could give negative stars I would. Inconsiderate of anyone's time. Had an appointment, refused to see me. I can barely walk and told me the next time I could come is a week later. No care or compassion. I said "I'll just walk around with my broken knee". Responded "ok" . Everything that is wrong with the medical field."
"SKIP THIS PRACTICE. Does not care about his patients and is super disorganized. I saw Dr. Michael Gregory Daubs for my broken wrist (on my dominant hand, and 8 weeks later I am still in excruciating pain). He gave me a new cast (since I saw a doctor in Greatneck which was too far for me since I do not own a car and live in Forest hills) then I came to see him on 4/24/24. He said he was going to order a cat scan and I would have to see a hand surgeon since I possibly had a Scaphoid fracture that either happened since or went undetected. By Monday, April 29 I still have not heard from his office. So I call, and the secretary told me there was no CT scan order. Previously Dr. Daubs ignored my request for pain medication, so at this point it was clear he was disorganized and I told her I would have to go back to Great Neck. She called me 10 minutes later, stated that he did actually order the CT scan and emailed me the script and told me she would fax it to imaging. I made an appointment for Friday May 3, a full week and two days after the day he should have ordered it. Today, Thursday May 2 comes and his secretary tells me they will end up cancelling my CT scan because we still dont have authorization. I call my insurance and talk with a supervisor who tells me nothing has been ordered yet- over a week after I saw the doctor. I get a call from the imaging, and they confirm that nothing has been ordered. His secretary tells me that they wouldn't know unless it's been approved. So is everyone lying to me? or the doctor who ignored my requests to relieve my pain? I have had multiple MRIs and CT scans with this insurance as I have had this insurance for 15 years. The order that "proves" he signed and ordered the CT scan was "signed" at 8:21 AM, My appointment was at 9, he didn't even see the Xray until after 9 am, so how could he have signed it at 8:21? It's so disingenuous, I have been lied to by so many people from this practice at this point, I would not send my enemy here. This doctor is disorganized. He either 1. Does not take the pain of women seriously. Or 2. Is so aloof that he doesn't take his patients seriously at all. IF the CT scan was requested, it would not take a week and a half to go through. SKIP THIS PRACTICE."
