"I trusted this doctor to perform a complex L5/S1 lumbar decompression and fusion, but it became the most devastating medical decision of my life. Despite the seriousness of this high-risk spinal procedure, the doctor demonstrated a complete lack of postoperative care and medical follow-through. There were no postoperative assessments, no neurological evaluations, no pain-management plan, no imaging follow-up, and absolutely no clinical supervision. Shockingly, I was discharged on the same day of the surgery, even though I was experiencing severe postoperative pain. Later that same day, I lost consciousness due to uncontrolled pain and was transported to the Emergency Department by ambulance. The doctor told me I was "stable to go home," but in reality my condition was deteriorating rapidly. Since the surgery, I have been suffering from: -- Persistent radiculopathy -- Neuropathic pain and burning sensations -- Lower-extremity numbness and weakness -- Difficulty with ambulation (walking) -- Chronic lumbar and sacral pain -- Severe sleep disturbance -- A drastic decline in overall quality of life Despite all these complications, the doctor never contacted me once, never scheduled a follow-up, and never checked on my neurological or functional status. This level of neglect after such a serious spinal operation is extremely dangerous and unacceptable. If you value your health and safety, I strongly recommend avoiding this doctor.
