Testimonials
"This is a very holistic and thoughtfully designed program. The system is detailed and works well if you follow it consistently. There are many opportunities to ask questions along the way, and the team is always responsive, knowledgeable, and supportive. I started the program with pain in my right leg from Muay Thai and running. Through the process, I learned a lot about how the groin, hips, joints, and glutes all work together. More importantly, I developed a much deeper understanding of body awareness and how to care for the muscles that support movement so I can continue training and getting stronger over time. What I appreciate most is that Kenny is always thinking about long-term sustainability rather than quick fixes. The focus isn't just rapid improvement--it's building a body that can stay strong and resilient for the long run. Kenny and his team are extremely knowledgeable and clearly care about their clients' development. I'm very grateful to have gone through this program and hope to continue working with them in the future as I keep building strength and longevity in my training."
"Highly recommend working with Dr. Kenny for all grapplers, especially those living and training in NYC. Over the past year, I've seen huge increases in my strength, endurance, and athleticism. Kenny was able to seamlessly switch between his role as a strength & conditioning coach during competition season and physical therapist when I was dealing with injuries and other physical limitations. I have recommended him to 10+ teammates & friends and all who have decided to work with him say the same thing: Kenny is a practical, knowledgable, and observant trainer and therapist, with an intimate understanding of what it takes for an athlete to feel their best and train at their highest potential. Beyond his expertise in strength training and physical therapy, he is also constantly seeking new knowledge in various grappling arts and is also keen to learn from world class nutritionists and other industry experts, all to deliver a better service for his athletes and clients. I'm proud to be a Grappling Doc athlete. Invest in yourself and work with the best!!"
"Just finished my program with Kenny and can't recommend working him enough. Right off the bat, one of my favorite things about the program is that he requires a 3 month commitment. I see that as a key difference between my experience with insurance based / in-network physical therapists who - for a variety of reasons - often times don't give as attentive of care. I've walked into PT offices hoping that I'll get someone who will listen to me and not give me stock exercises that don't really address my issues. That was never a concern with Kenny as he started me off with a 2 hour assessment, getting my entire injury history and then doing a physical assessment from head to toe. He even identified an issue that I wasn't even thinking about and we worked it into the program. So he described the 3 month minimum commitment as a way to give me, the patient the best chance of recovery, but also himself as the therapist the best chance at giving successful treatment. I appreciated that mutual interest and that gave me a stronger sense of buy-in than working with a PT I found on Zocdoc who could literally just be any random PT in the world. I came in with plantar fasciitis that prevented me from running for a year and also prevented me from kicking properly in Muay Thai, which I'd recently picked up. He also identified an old shoulder injury during my evaluation which proved to be a super important point as I moved forward with Muay Thai. Up until the foot injury I had been happily running, and then for a year, I just couldn't run...and that really sucked! I was really getting into Muay Thai but I was limited in my conditioning by not being able to run and not being able to kick properly. I got to the point where I didn't want to be held back like that anymore. My goals were to run hard, train hard, and lose weight. 4 months later I went from 0 miles to 7 at a fast (for me) pace. I progressed to sparring in Muay Thai. And I lost a good amount of weight as well. At our final follow up I described to Kenny that while doing some of the plyometric exercises towards the end of the program I only felt limited by how conditioned I was and how hard I wanted to work, not by any injury limitation, and that to me is the greatest marker of success in a PT program. Best investment I made this year. 10 thumbs up!!"
