Athletico Physical Therapy - Bensenville

"Athletico in Bensenville is OUTSTANDING! I started there due to the fact that i had bad knee pain and my doctor recommended PT. I was working with Erin, and we realized that i needed more then just PT. She referred me to a Orthopedic Surgeon, made a phone call and got me in the same week. She also followed up after my visit. Bottomline is I need a partial knee replacement and would not have figured that out without Erin's help. After surgery, I returned to Athletico, and for the next four months that's is where I spent two days a week. The team there beyond exceptional, Erin, Sara, Julia, Gabby and Lupe, all work together to make you feel like your at home. When you need to spend endless hours, that is the place to be, they are like family. Team, you are amazing and I would not have had the success I did without you. As for Erin and Sara, thanks for the never-ending conversations, whether you were listing or not. :-)"

"After 15 long weeks of training for the Chicago marathon 5 weeks before I injured my knee. I tried a few things at home for about a week with no relief and getting worse to the point of limping. I live in the area and decided to give Athletico a try. I called to schedule an appointment with Macky, all therapist have great reviews but I read a couple mentioning Macky treating knee problems. I got in within couple days and Macky was very thorough with his assessment and most importantly optimistic telling me there was some hope that I could still run the marathon in 4 wks. At this point I was so discouraged that even thinking it wasn't possible to fully recover in time for the marathon just hearing him say that made me feel so much better and I told him "if I can still finish the marathon after your treatment you deserve the medal". After two weeks of IT band treatment, strengthening and stretching exercises no more pain and no more limping! After 3 long weeks of zero running and 2 weeks before the marathon started running little by little and the day of the marathon decided to give it a try. I am happy and grateful to say that after this long journey and thanks to Athletico team and Macky I completed my marathon 26.2 miles with no knee pain and or discomfort. Thank you Macky Mahusay!"

"I have gone to Athletico in Bensenville for several months. I have had difficulty with my hip, back (bulging disc) and knees. Erin, my physical therapist, has given me much relief and exemplary attention. Not only her expertise, but her kindness and commaraderie has made it a pleasure to come each session for three times a week. "Had to bring my 14yr old daughter to Athletico in Bensenville for issues she was having with her hip. Every staff member was extremely friendly and professional. The physical therapist named Erin was who ended up working with my daughter, and we could not be happier with the outcome. We had already had one round of physical therapy that failed to bring any relief for her hip pain, and one of the doctors we were referred to, immediately suggested surgery. After getting a second opinion, we were told to attempt the physical therapy one more time. This brought us to the Bensenville Athletico and if it wasn't for Erin, there is a great chance my daughter would have ended up having surgery that was preventable. Erin took the time to really explain the process and how the movements prescribed would benefit my daughter. Honestly, we got more of an understanding and knowledge of how the issue could possibly be alleviated through physical therapy through Erin, than anyone else up to this point. Once it was time to put in work, Erin was on top of her game - effortlessly flowing through communicating with other patients and staff, all while paying close attention to the movements being done. Her sense of humor and wittiness worked perfectly with my teenage daughter, who was not always the cheeriest of patients when having to wake up earlier than normal on her summer break. Erin's natural instinct of knowing when to push a little harder, combined with her overall knowledge intertwines so perfectly that it takes her patients to the next level in their therapy process. During the six weeks of therapy there was steady improvement throughout. At one point in the first couple of sessions, my daughter stated, "wow, I leave here feeling like I really did something." And in the end, she did..... she ended up with NO PAIN thanks to Erin! Surgery avoided! One other thing that I think worth noting is, during the timeframe in which we worked with Erin, we had a chance to have a good deal of general conversation which led me find out an interesting fact about her. You see, as she would humbly explain here and there between conversations, Erin was not only dedicated to serving others and bringing a better quality of life to every patient she encountered; she also took her physical well-being very serious as well. Nothing makes this more evident than when she won the CFHH's most improved athlete award (Crossfit Award). Her lifetime of dedication to nutrition, physical training and athletics made her the first female EVER to win this award, and STILL to this day is the only woman to ever receive that particular award. Simply put, she lives by what she teaches her patients. That lifetime of dedication also shines through on her day to day interactions and work with patients - not only did my daughter experience it, but we seen it with every patient she interacted with. I hope that Athletico is aware of the incredible work Erin does and truly appreciates it - her representation of the company is invaluable in my opinion. My daughter was very lucky to have found herself in the care of such an amazing Physical Therapist and overall person! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"I highly recommend the Bensenville Athletico location to all my friends and family! The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and very friendly. Therapist Sarah Glawe, and her support team provides individual attention to patients all while coordinating the clinic. My therapist works very hard and is very dedicated to her patients. "I had a partial tear of my tendon in my foot, I was recommended by my Doctor to do physical therapy, having two different therapy locations near me , I decided to give Athletico a try. Not knowing what to expect , I scheduled my appointment started therapy and OMG!!My therapist Mackey has healing hands, he was awesome, he knew exactly what needed to be done. He is very professional, such a nice person. I highly recommend him and Athletico on Irving park Road in Bensenville. Ethan, Reina, Mayra and the rest of the staff are also very nice . Unfortunately today was my last day, and I will miss them. Luckily I live 2 minutes away and I may just stop by to say hello ; ) . Wishing everyone the best.
