"Dr. Tis was not gentle with the baby he was checking on (pre-surgery), said baby regularly returns home with fractures after Dr. Tis's rough handling. He was also very rude and rather than informing us of the risks of surgery but leaving us feeling confident, he didn't seem to care. I don't know what caused him to physically treat the baby this way or approach us in this way, but both are completely unacceptable."

"I suffered under Tis's pre- and post-operative while at the Univ. of Maryland Trauma Center for emergency repair of a broken neck. I thank God he was not the chief surgeon. His manner of care bordered on cruel. I had this experience 22 years ago. Memories of Tis are few these days. But they will never be fully erased."

"Had an appointment at his columbia office at 3pm. I called saying i would be 10 to 15 min. late at 3:05 and the lady said ok no problem.... i showed up in the office at 3:23 and was told we were to late and need to reschedule for about a week later.....this is after making my young brother get in and out of the back of my car and going up stairs to the office with crutches in a lot of pain... Its sad over a few minute dispute we were basically told to bad...MAKE A KID IN PAIN WAIT A WEEK OVER A FEW MINUTES IS SAD!!! LADY AT FRONT DESK AND SUPERVISOR WAS A WASTE OF TIME.... Eventually and nice new lady walked over to help as we were about to leave and set us up somewhere else... I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS DOCTOR!!!!!!!"
