"I came to this appointment after weeks of severe sciatica, feeling physically weak and vulnerable. I am 72 years old and was hoping for guidance and reassurance. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Paz was deeply disappointing. His demeanor felt dismissive and lacking compassion. There was no meaningful discussion about whether the scheduled epidural injection was still appropriate given how my symptoms had changed, and questions were not welcomed. I felt pressured to either accept the injection as scheduled or risk waiting weeks for another appointment, which felt inappropriate and coercive under the circumstances. This office prescribed gabapentin for my discomfort, but I was not informed that it typically requires a gradual taper to discontinue safely, nor was that information communicated to me at any point. Communication with the office is extremely difficult. I contacted the practice days in advance explaining that my condition had changed and never received a response. When I raised additional back pain during the visit, I was told it would require a separate appointment, with no attempt to assess or guide me. During a period of severe pain, my wife contacted the office on my behalf because the prescribed medications were not helping. I was disturbed to learn this was characterized as her "calling too much," which felt unprofessional and lacking empathy. After my visit, I read other patient reviews and was struck by how often concerns about bedside manner were mentioned. Unfortunately, my experience aligned with those observations. If you are simply looking for a scheduled injection with minimal interaction, this practice may suffice. If you are seeking an individualized pain management plan, clear communication, explanation, and compassion--this office may not be for you."

"I do not know how to rate Dr. Paz procedure because I was never in a position requiring this procedure. With that said, the procedure was very simple.i arrived at about 9:00AM and was escorted into the procedure room where 2 techs were waiting. I was asked to remove my shirt and lay flat on my stomach with my face in the head of the table. Dr. Paz entered after we completed the paperwork. He immediately covered my upper back/neck with a cloth and commenced the procedure. I felt the needle penetrate my back and the fluid being applied. He then indicated the procedure was complete and I could leave after being observed for several minutes. A follow-up appointment was assigned for 6 weeks later."
