Testimonials

Alex Bonine

"Ruptured my achilles six months ago and met with Dr Walls for a second opinion. He was very thorough and I felt comfortable opting for surgery. The procedure was super smooth. Recovery was slow as expected but no complications. Dr Walls was responsive when I reached out via the app or during follow-ups. He was open to the idea when I brought a sleeping splint to an appointment which greatly helped with sleep. Overall, I am still doing physical therapy for strength but am generally ahead of schedule. I very much appreciate Dr Walls for his work."

"When i first met doctor walls he was so polite, pleasant and very attentive, he listened and explained what was going on with my foot and what needed to be done! On August he performed my foot surgery, everything is going great! Dr. Walls is an excellent doctor with wonderful bedside manners, he will listen and take his time to explain every little thing. Just a wonderful wonderful doctor, so if you're looking for a foot surgeon I recommend him a thousand percent. The best and greatest doctor and his staff are just as wonderful and pleasant as he is."

" A Truly Exceptional Surgeon -- Dr. Walls is the Best From the very first time I met Dr. Walls, I knew he was the right doctor for me. He was referred by my hand specialist, Dr. Steven Yang, and after reading his profile and all the testimonials, I already had a strong feeling that he would be the one I'd trust with my foot. I still went for a second opinion with a highly recommended doctor at HSS, but I walked out uneasy. He suggested shaving my bone, cutting it, and even "fixing" a hammertoe that I do not have. At that moment, I realized my gut was right, I went back to Dr. Walls. The pre-op experience at NYU Langone is unlike anything I've ever seen. I've been to NewYork-Presbyterian, Mount Sinai, and HSS with my partner, and nothing compares. NYU is efficient, warm, caring, and incredibly organized. I met Dr. Walls and the anesthesiologist before surgery, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up. What truly impressed me was that Dr. Walls called me the very next day to let me know everything went well. That simple act meant a lot. His PA, Jennifer, at the Essex location, is also wonderful, responsive, kind, and extremely helpful throughout my recovery. Today marks my 6-week post-op visit, and I'm officially cleared to start rehab. I'm beyond excited to walk again. Dr. Walls is an amazing surgeon who knows his craft deeply and clearly cares about his patients. The fact that he was once a dancer is such a bonus, he truly understands bunion pain, movement, and what proper foot function means to someone who wants to stay active. I will absolutely be back next year to do my left foot. Recovery is never easy, but knowing I'm in the best hands gives me so much confidence and peace of mind. If you're looking for a surgeon who is skilled, compassionate, and genuinely invested in your well-being, Dr. Walls is the one."
