""My wife and I both had the privilege of working with the amazing team at Skillz Physical Therapy in Evanston. From the very first visit, we felt welcomed and cared for. The staff is not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly compassionate, which made a huge difference in our recovery journey. My wife came in struggling with sciatica pain, and I was dealing with persistent lower back pain. The therapists took the time to listen, understand our concerns, and create personalized treatment plans that truly worked. Every session was focused and tailored to our needs. We never felt rushed--just supported every step of the way. A special thank you to Aime for her incredible attention to detail, and to Kay and Richelle for being so funny, personable and always offering words of encouragement. Those little moments of humor and positivity made the experience even better. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, we've both experienced significant improvement and feel so much better. We're deeply grateful for their professionalism and kindness. If you're looking for a clinic that genuinely cares and delivers results, Skillz PT is the place to go! You won't be disappointed!!""

"Aime and her team are exceptional. They combine analytical precision with a genuinely caring approach, quickly identifying the root cause of issues and building a thoughtful plan to address them. They've helped me work through jaw and spine pain, and I've seen clear, measurable improvement. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for smart, attentive, and effective physical therapy."

"TLDR: Aime and her team are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled - I would recommend their PT services 10/10. I've struggled with severe scoliosis-related back pain for most of my adult life, and I had been through multiple rounds of physical therapy elsewhere without finding significant relief. My experience at Skillz Therapy was completely different. After just a few months, I can confidently say I owe Aime and her team for the substantial relief I now feel, and for teaching me the maintenance required to keep my pain minimal. The team at Skillz is exceptionally knowledgeable and thorough. Their assessments went beyond treating my current pain; they focused on long-term prevention. I never felt rushed or dismissed; every concern was seriously addressed. I particularly appreciated the one-on-one attention during sessions, as my therapist was constantly watching my form and making personalized adjustments. The clinic environment also contributed to my success. The space was always clean, neat, and the entire staff made me feel welcome immediately. The equipment is modern and well-maintained. Honestly, I was so comfortable that I often dozed off with the heating pack at the end of a session! A huge thanks to the entire team for everything!"

"We often think of treasure as something that is extremely valuable--and also hidden/difficult to find. But sometimes a treasure is right in front of us. And Skillz Physical Therapy in Evanston (located at Main Street and Dodge Avenue) is a great example. Founder and owner Aime Maranan, PT, CMTPT, brings her exceptional brand of personal warmth; highly skilled, versatile medicine; and sincere caring to benefit patients. In addition to a deep knowledge of the disciplines within her field, she is certified in a range of modalities and treatment tools, such as dry needling and laser therapy. She and her equally talented colleagues Richelle and Kaye will literally walk you through the exercises and physical movement to help you achieve better health, well-being, and considerably less discomfort. As their website notes, "your relief is our personal mission." The large spacious room at Skillz offers recumbent bikes and other cardio equipment, tables, weights, and stations for balance and flexibility. Their patients are all ages--from high school athletes to young professionals to Saturday afternoon basketball players to senior citizens--and seek help with various conditions, whether it is osteoarthritis or a shoulder injury or vertigo or recovery from a hip or knee replacement. Through the excellent administrative support and customized instruction at Skillz, I have been able to gain strength and mobility in my left shoulder and knee. The gentle weight lifting, hands-on deep tissue massage, and other efforts have enabled me to walk more naturally, engage in daily activities more easily, and, generally, experience more comfort and less pain. Skillz also stays in touch with a newsletter and offers suggestions on how to continue being active and well. Scheduling appointments is easy. Try Skillz for yourself. Their medicine works."

"I am an 81-year-old man who moved from Iowa City, IA, to Evanston, IL, in late August. During the process I injured my back to such an extent that I became walker-bound and barely able to move. I also became heavily dependent on pain killers, including Tylenol and Tramadol. The doctors at NorthshoreConnect recommended that I seek physical therapy. On the advice of my physical therapist back in Iowa, who helped me recover from a knee replacement, I began to look online at small, boutique, physical therapy services that had high social media recommendations. Skillz stood out. I went with them and have been extremely satisfied with their service. I no longer use a walker and am free of the pain killers I had been taking. I am striving, now, to return to my normal activity level which includes 2 or 3 miles of walking and a mile of swimming most days. I feel confident that the rigorous and careful attention I am receiving from Skillz, especially from Aime, will enable me to return soon to this level of activity."

"I've been going to Skillz Physical Therapy for the past two months for my hamstring, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better team. Ms. Aime, Richelle, and Ky have been amazing from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged every step of the way. They each took the time to listen to me, explain what was going on with my injury, and guide me through exercises and treatments that truly made a difference. Not only did they help me heal physically, but they also kept me motivated and positive during the process, which was just as important. Because of their care, knowledge, and patience, I've noticed real improvement in my hamstring and overall strength. What stood out the most was how much they genuinely care about their patients and how invested they are in helping people get back to feeling their best. I'm so grateful for Ms. Aime, Richelle, and Ky. If you ever need physical therapy, I highly recommend coming here, you'll be in the best hands."
