"I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Christo through my John Hopkins MyChart portal. I have several JHM doctors and my surgeons suggested considering pain management in addition to surgical options. A few days prior to my appointment, Dr. Christo's office cancelled my appointment. I called and they rescheduled me, but requested additional documentation to justify seeing the doctor. Much of my documentation is in MyChart but I also had another provider fax over other results of my diagnoses. Two days prior to the new appointment, I called to confirm the appointment and they said the doctor canceled and that I wasn't a candidate to see the doctor. I guess being a JHM patient, having autoimmune disease and being in chronic pain for several years is not sufficient justification to see a pain management doctor. Alot of people suffer and you do not know their circumstances so when they reach out for help from a doctor, they hope for compassion. I couldn't even get in the door. Not sure what one has to prove but not worth fighting the system or Dr. Christo's opinion anymore."
