Testimonials

Kevin T O'Malley

"I had a massive rotator cuff tear repaired at IBJI and I was assigned to two fantastic physical therapists at IBJI on California in Chicago. Joe Hanley and Katherine Caneda are professional, knowledgeable , responsive and caring. It was worth every session because the effort was there as we worked as a team. The office team gets thanks for all they do as well. Thank you all very much, Kevin T O'Malley"

Craig Teich

"A surprisingly pleasant journey, so far my hip is better than I expected and looking forward to full recovery. Then onto the next procedure being the knee ! Then back into therapy and the gym and "God willing" reclaiming some of my wasted youth from being so slow to respond to these fixable issues !!! Thanks Dr Jeff & PT Joe !!! Craig Teich"

Bonita Fritz

"I have needed physical and occupational therapy three times this year. Each time, i have been helped by friendly yet knowledgeable and professional therapists. This is true of my assigned therapist, occasional stand in or an assistant. Thank you for helping me get back to normal or my best new normal."

Sharon Bowen

"This is my second hip done by IBJI. First one is perfect. I love Dr. Shah. He is personable and great what he does."

Toni Morin

"The desk staff (Diane-Mgr) is great from booking to amending appointments and getting updates on your billing statement and /or insurance coverage. The therapists, and I've seen a handful of them, are knowledgeable, friendly, listen to your issue and address it with care. I would recommend the Avondale location. For me, location is key!"

"I have been fortunate enough to be cared for by three members of the team at IBJI as well as the attentive techs and front desk staff. I came to the clinic after three years of struggling with plantar fibromatosis. A fitness professional, I had tried and failed to put myself through one rehabilitation program after another and when I finally arrived to the clinic for my first session, I told the team I was ready to surrender and receive their help. I worked consistently with Brittany and Andreea as well as Katherine. Brittany's grounded approach to care, coupled with a skilled assessment-based toolbox and focused progression are unparalleled. Andreea's keen interest in the details of my healing, ease of adjusting my program to fit the needs of the day and authentic encouragement showed me I could do things that I didn't know were possible. Katherine's willingness to listen and get creative with pain interventions helped me through some of the most challenging early days. The cohesiveness of the team truly allowed each clinician's strength to complement the other's. The biopsychosocial component of care, coupled with the high level of therapeutic programming I received was next level. They paced treatment with me according to my needs and symptoms. I never once felt like I was on a healing agenda, rather, I felt their complete support to be with me through each step of the process. I have emerged from PT stronger, more optimistic and with 95% less pain than when I walked in. Their level of commitment to me and my conditions only inspired me to work harder - sometimes, they had to insist that I slow down :). I feel a renewed sense of hope and optimism about the future. One that I had given up on after the struggle to find relief. I have first-hand witnessed this team's professionalism, client care, attention to detail, and friendly atmosphere - both as a patient and a community member. So much so, that when my son suffered an injury recently, I knew there was only one place I would want to take him. Thank you to everyone for your attention and care. I'll carry this experience in my heart (and foot) and keep doing my exercises!"

"I spent 8 weeks in PT at the IBJ Avondale location after a total knee replacement. The two therapists I saw for most of my visits were excellent. A couple others I saw were, well, less than excellent. My biggest disappointment with this PT service provider was the home exercise program. Very little attention was given to that, I had to keep asking the therapists to update my home plan every few weeks as I progressed. On my last visit, I again asked for an updated home exercise program so I could continue progressing at home. The therapist didn't have time to do that during my visit, but she said she would email it to me. But she never did, even after I followed up with her. As my doctor said, the home exercise plan was just as important (if not more important) than the PT visits. It's a shame they neglected this aspect of my care."

ISAIAH MORRIS

"Jenny J was an amazing therapist. Tore my meniscus and was patient and consistent throughout my recovery process. Knew all the best ways to push me to get back to pre injury form. Couldn't give a more glowing review of her efforts."
