"Dr. Henshaw and his associates and staff were very professional. They gave me good insight into the issue that I'm facing. I understand that things get behind in scheduling and the only reason that I did not give 4 stars is because I had to wait an hour plus to see the first doctor and then another 15 minutes to see Dr. Henshaw. Overall my experience at Washington Medstar's Cancer Institute was great. I definitely recommend this cancer institute."

"I think there should be a better procedure for making sure referrals like mine from Kaiser Permanente or any other medical group is more streamline and efficient. My records and documents should of been handled between Kaiser and medstar. I am the patient. I took over everything that was given to me. It was not a smooth transition. Now I am faced with yet more delays and I have to go find the documents that are requested. I will have to wait more weeks or months to see Henshaw because it will take months to get another MRI. Love the doctors, hate the procedures..."

"Everyone with Dr. Henshaw's office at the cancer center is overwhelmingly busy. They must see dozens of patients a day. But everyone is kind and polite and supportive and welcoming. I was there for a biannual check-in that showed no changes so probably one of the least complicated, least challenging situations they encountered, but all made me feel important and cared for. Highly recommend. Kind people from the receptionists to Dr. Henshaw."

"I was referred to Dr. Henshaw by a surgeon in Annapolis that I was initially sent to for a large intramuscular tumor. The original surgeon felt my case needed more expertise and sent me to see Dr. Henshaw. My personal research definitely made me feel very comfortable, but when I met him, I knew that I was in good hands. He answered my questions, very polite and professional, and his confidence assured me that I was going to be ok. I was in for surgery within about 2weeks, and I'm now post surgery one week today, and feeling great. I followed up with him yesterday, he had my pathology reports back and re checked the incision, and again answered all my questions. He is an exceptional surgeon with a great bedside manner. I say, do your own research, you will not be disappointed. I'd like to add that his nurse is excellent as well, she is quick to respond and very knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra step. Dr. Henshaw was worth the travel, and I would highly recommend him."
