"Dear Dr. Meyer, I am writing to thank you for giving me back an important part of my life. For years I have always looked forward to an annual ski trip. After tearing up my shoulder, last winter was the first year I can remember, in decades, that I didn't go on a trip. I couldn't even contemplate going I was in so much pain. Before coming to you I tried to "work my way through it". I tried to exercise my shoulder, decreasing the weights to the point I could lift them again. As you know, that didn't work!
