"I'D GLADLY BE DR. SCHRODER'S POSTER BOY !!! Greetungs, zI am a 66 year old school teacher. I was formerly a 5-time All Americ in NAIA track. I ran the 400 Meter Hudles, 2 Mike Indoor Relay and the 1600 meter Relay at Abilene Christian Universuty back in the day. Over time I'm sure that all of that running and jumping (even challenging my students in h.s. and m.s.!) caused the inevitable deterioration. But Im no doctor, so who knows! Anyway, early on the Tuesday morning of September 30, 2025 I underwent complete right hip replacement surgery by Dr. Schroder. By the end of that day I was pushing a walker around the hospital in immediate therapy. I did that twice, and it was all I needed. I remained in the hospital for two extra days because i needed to wait for my best friend Michael to arrive from California to watch over me at home. By Friday, I was using just a single point cane. By the following Tuesday, when Michael left, l was using no walking aid at all. I wanted to return to school immediately as I was already released by Dr. Schroder with no restrictions. The school district, however, wouldn't allow me back in school until the following Tuesday 10/14/2025. That was, I should say, the very day I had told my students I'd be back to class before I left for the surgery. Yesterday I had a 3-month check up with Dr. Schroder. He says doesn't need to see me again until the end of September 2026 - and then nit until A DECADE AFTER THAT!!! I'd be 77. Dr. Schroder and his team are harbingers of the miraculous as far as I'm concerned. And I'm now ready to race my students all over the campus again!!! And I intend to resume tennis and competitive Masters track competition immediately. How's that?!"
