Dr. Luciano Tuluca, MD

"Dr. Tuluca is the most effective Pain Management doctor I've been to. Now that I've been getting knee and back injections from him my pain is non-existent right now. I've been an athlete all my life until a recent torn ankle tendon. I'm 65 and weigh132 and what I have noticed at all Pain Management Facilities is...obesity. I'm starting to think a gym should be inside or next to all Pain Management Facilities. A major part of maintaining and managing pain is often weight control, and so often patients fail miserably in this aspect then blame their Pain Management doctor. No Pain Management doctor can fix what patients won't acknowledge or even attempt to control within themselves. With all these new government mandates...healthy weight control should be one of them!"

"Absurd. Unprofessional and disgraceful. Executes his abuse of profession with no shame. This is no doctor. This is a man who will use his title and practice to his own liking. I call it abuse because he denied treatment for my mother with pain in her knees after going through all of the necessary tests, one excruciatingly long appointment after the next. Dr. Tuluca and his office called approximately one hour before her appointment to cancel. When my mother called back to express her dismay and frustration, she was told never to come back. We paid a $40 fee last week because I had an issue and my mom rescheduled for the following day. Now, if a patient cancels, there is a $40 cancelation fee. This would be reasonable if the time slot was reserved for one patient. However, other patients claim to have the same time slot as one-another. I also suspect insurance fraud, considering my mother had appointments where they barely even did as much as glance at her knees before issuing a return appointment. Disgraceful man. Please find a different doctor. I plan to ask Montefiore tomorrow. I will update if I can find a better doctor. We live in the best city in the world - Dr. Tuluca is nothing compared to the various options all throughout New York. Good luck, and we sympathize with those who have experienced similar situations through this practice. Please find a different doctor."

"Tuluca medical PC is an interventional pain management office. Dr. Tuluca is not operating knees or treating chronic pain managemt patients wheelchair bound. The office provide a wide range of interventional pain management treating the cause of the pain.Some patients are frustrated because they do not want surgery and they want only narcotic medication. Unfortunately a few patients do not understand how the insurences and the private offices work and they make the wrong appointmens not to mention that all the suppositions and threats are ridiculous at least ."
