"I'm extremely disappointed with how my first--and now only--appointment was handled. I had never been to this office before and accidentally went into the wrong building. It took me eight minutes to find the correct office. During that time, I called the office multiple times for help, but no one picked up. I finally arrived and checked in at the front desk, only to be told that the back office had canceled my appointment due to tardiness. I was still within 10 minutes of my scheduled time and was physically sitting with the front office, scanning my insurance cards, when I was informed. I asked, "There's no grace period? I'm only eight minutes late." I also asked if the doctor could still see me for a shorter visit or if I had only been allotted a 10-minute appointment. There was no flexibility and no willingness to accommodate, despite the circumstances and the fact that I was already there. I had taken time off work and driven 30 minutes to get to this appointment because I'm dealing with a real health issue. I left feeling dismissed and invisible. I won't be rescheduling with Dr. Prao. If she and her office can't make even the smallest exception for a first-time patient facing a genuine situation, that tells me everything I need to know. My time is valuable too. If there were a way to give zero stars, I would."
