Mitchell Kohlhagen

"The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, the world's premier physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital, established in 1954 has been a top ranked since establishment since then. Rebranded as Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in 2017, it expanded into a 1.2 million square foot facility focused on translational research. including physical research, rehabilitation and teaching. Dr. Darshil Patel spent 10 years on the faculty there before moving on to establish DrMoveit Physical Therapy in order to serve more people. It is now 4 years since I suffered from Central Cord Syndrome, a condition (also known as central cervical cord syndrome, mine caused by stenosis and nerve compression damage) which left me completely temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. Following surgery to relieve the pressure on my spinal cord I was lucky enough to be accepted as an inpatient at CRI. My lead therapist both as an inpatient, and after as an outpatient at CRI was Dr. Darshil Patel. With his expertise and careful guidance, I was able to relearn the use of my motor nerves and muscles in my arms, my hands, my legs and my feet. Dr. Darshil Patel allowed me to return to normal, productive, and functional life. He is the best."

"Dr. Patel has worked with both of my parents to address recovery and provide guidance on their injuries. My dad had a recent surgery in Mexico and came back looking for an in home therapist, without hesitation I knew to reach out to Dr. Patel. My dad was very satisfied and appreciative with all the work Dr. Patel did for him. My mom had some issues with her knee and I knew to reach out to Dr. Patel, my mom called me the same day she met with him and said nothing but great things. She followed the PT routine that was put in place and she is walking better and pain has lessened. Highly recommend Dr. Patel and I appreciate the support he provided for my parents."

"Dr. Patel has been working with my 75 year old father for the past three weeks and has been incredible. My dad has not been able to stand up after having vascular surgery, and Dr. Patel is consistently trying to get him to stand again, despite the odds; he really pushes my dad in the best way possible yet is very patient with him. After only seeing Dr. Patel four times, my dad has already been able to stand for two minutes (with Dr. Patel's help getting him up) during their sessions which has been a huge improvement. He has also taken time out of his day to reach out to check in on my dad regarding his other doctor appointments which shows how much Dr. Patel cares about his clients. We feel very lucky to be working with him and remain hopeful that my dad will be able to stand on his own again."

"Dr Patel is great! My aunt(a former colleague of his) referred me to him when the chiropractor identified my issue as thoracic outlet syndrome. After doing the wrong exercises on my own to fix the issue for a month and no luck, I thought I'd give him a try. Within 1 visit I felt immediate relief. He provided me with the correct stretches, exercises and areas to massage to correct the problem. Scheduling with him was easy and the convenience of in home sessions was a plus."

"I was dealing with shoulder issue for almost a month. Due to my hectic work schedule I could not find time to go to a PT. I contacted Dr MoveIt and he quickly scheduled a zoom call and was able to diagnose the issue and showed me a few exercises that helped me get moving. He also was able to visit my home for a PT session. I highly recommend Dr MoveIt."

Margaret Denny

"I had a nasty fall that tweaked my neck and resulted in neuropathic pain, tingling, and numbness in one arm. A friend who had undergone extensive PT highly recommended DrMoveit Physical Therapy. Dr. Darshil Patel was able to accommodate me the same day with an online appointment (and several others that followed.) Although we were working together remotely, Dr. Patel was extremely observant in testing and scrutinizing every aspect of my head, neck, and shoulder movements. He recommended and demonstrated a number of exercises that were very helpful in relieving my symptoms, and he was careful to modify any that caused discomfort. Dr. Patel is both impressively knowledgeable and compassionate, and I benefited substantially from working with him."

"I have a cervical spinal cord injury. I have been working with Dr. Patel for about 4 months. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Patels creativity and skills to give me excellent therapy at home. I consider myself lucky to have found him."

"Dr. Patel helped my husband regain mobility and strength after multiple arm and shoulder injuries. I'm so very glad we found Dr. Patel and being able to do in-home was a definite bonus!! Thank you Dr. Patel!!"
