He never asked me any questions about my injury and had the wrong part of my body x-rayed. A far more capable and kind surgeon ending up performing surgery on my pelvis. Avoid Mehling at all cost."

Elderly man with both ankles broken and post surgery was immediately told to do weight bearing exercises which unraveled the surgery and then he had to go to revision surgery at Cornell."

"We had a terrible experience with Dr. Mehling. He operated on my partner's broken humerus in 2022, and the entire experience was horrendous. Dr. Mehling mentioned he went with an unconventional procedure because the hospital did not have the right apparatus on hand. After the surgery, it was very hard to get hold of him, and after having consulted with (several) other surgeons after, we learned that everything Dr. Mehling said and did - from the choice of procedure to post-op care to recovery timelines, were incorrect and resulted in a potentially dangerous situation with the rod in my partner's humerus starting to come out. My partner ended up having to get surgically operated upon again, and the two surgeries in a narrow window resulted in post-op complications. Billing was messy as well, and his office did not make it easy for us in any way. If you can, seek another surgeon for your own safety."
