Bayonne Medical Center: Emergency Room

"I've been sitting in the ER at Bayonne CarePoint Health Medical Center for over two hours, dealing with severe pain on the right side of my head down to my neck, which has been going on for seven days. When I arrived, there was only one other person in the waiting room, but she eventually left because she had been waiting for hours. Meanwhile, I watched people who came in after me--many of whom looked completely fine--get called in ahead of me simply because they made a scene about waiting too long. I stayed patient despite being in constant pain, yet I was ignored while others who complained were prioritized. The staff, especially the woman at the front desk, was unhelpful and showed no concern for my condition. This hospital is completely unorganized, and the way they handle patients is unacceptable. The lack of urgency and compassion here is frustrating, especially when you're in severe pain and just trying to get the care you need. Bayonne CarePoint Health Medical Center is by far the worst experience I've had at a hospital. I left very upset."

"This is not emergency !! they don't prioritize their patients! Very horrible experience waiting for hours while being the only patient to be admitted!! Some one could died and these people here don't give a damn! They are not proactive! Came to the emergency room before 4am and after 6am and still haven't seen or received results from any one! If I could give them -0 star I would! They are just here for a pay check and not because of they love their job. This is a reason why patient don't bother coming in the hospital when they are sick because lack of service! Lack of care!! Lack of hospitality! They are too lazy and laid back! They need to do better especially when they are charging hefty prices for poor service!"

"If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my 7-year-old to Bayonne Medical Center ER at 7:30 PM on a Thursday night for a possible fractured arm. We waited 31/2 hours and were never seen. While waiting, I witnessed a teenage girl come in sobbing and clutching her stomach. She appeared to be in severe distress and possibly experiencing a serious medical emergency. She sat like that for nearly 45 minutes before her mother finally took her to another ER. I truly hope that girl is okay. This ER appears dangerously understaffed or mismanaged. Do not come here--even for a life-threatening emergency. Delays like this can cost lives. Yes, the healthcare system in the United States may not be great and is very costly, but if you can call 911 or go to Jersey City Medical Center, please do--for your own safety and sanity. I genuinely worry someone will suffer permanent harm or worse due to the extreme delays in this waiting room."
