"I went to Dr. Kung for migraines beginning in early 2020, and I became increasingly dissatisfied until I finally left his practice. He seems to be focused on cramming in as many telehealth appointments a day in order to make the most amount of money. He would never answer a simple (and I mean simple) question via email or phone without scheduling a 3 minute telehealth appointment (billing insurance for a full appointment and charging a $15 copay). He just threw a million medications at me to see what stuck without considering my specific issues. He eventually prescribed me Topamax and was entirely dismissive when I had an adverse reaction to it. He then told me to just stop taking it and I ended up in withdrawal bc he said I didn't need to taper off. In one of my last appointments with him he shared that he's opening his own pharmacy that was encouraging me to use. That's when I found a new neuro who I'm much happier with. When I requested my records and notified Kung's office I was leaving I was told the office manager would be calling me to gather information about why I was leaving. That never happened, so I'm not sure this doctors interested in improving his practice. My PCP told me she's been hearing this negative feedback about Dr. Kung a lot in the last year and has stopped referring patients to him."

"I saw Dr. Kung over the course of a year or so for migraines. The appointments were rushed, and he never had me undergo any scans, which given the increased severity of the migraines over the years, I feel should have been ordered. The treatment was mildly effective, but my main issue is after ending treatment with him. I had since moved out of the area and due to the increasingly debilitating nature of my migraines was in need of a new neurologist. I had found a couple in my area, but required a referral with records before they would schedule an appointment. I called the office to have them send a referral and the records. I was told that since these weren't Dr. Kung's colleagues or doctors known to him he would not send a referral, a practice which I argued with, stating that there is record of my history of migraines which should have been sufficient for a referral to another headache specialist/neurologist. This is gate-keeping treatment and appears to be a scam between Dr. Kung and his colleagues to likely only refer to one another. I strongly question the ethics or legality of such a practice!"

"None of my concerns are ever listened to. I always feel like the appointment is about 5 minutes (what a waste). He always blames my migraines on being stressed and tells me to relax (right u haven't tried that one!!). My migraines are getting worse to the point where I've gone to the er several times in the past few years. I was supposed to have a telehealth today and they tell me 3 minutes before that because I'm away for college I can't have it (I've legit never had a problem all 4 years of college so far). I feel like I'm always getting ignored and I hate it. I've seen all these people saying that they found out they had tumors and other issues that Dr Kung never found, and I'm terrified that I might have one too. Just because he doesn't take his job or me seriously."
