"Had a major cervical fusion done and everything was going great. 6 months after the fusion surgery I started having complication. Even though the xrays looked great there was something linked to the fusion that was wrong. I feel abandoned because all I hear is the fusion is great and I don't know what is causing your symptoms. There has been no effort to find a solution even though I have 2 sores that will not heal along the surgical scar. I have to eat with a feeding tube becausre my throat swells closed. The pain started at the base of my neck and now has spread around to the front of my collar bone. When my thraot swells I can't swallow and it feels like I have a noose around my throat. I realize this is a complicated case but it deserves more attention."

"A great experience at U of Md Upper Chesapeake Orthopedic Spine Center. Dr Cavanaugh took the time to fully explain my issue. I did not feel rushed at all. He is a very professional, compassionate doctor. Also NP Jeanette Rose is a fabulous NP. She also completely explained my issues. She also is very professional and pleasant to deal with. Both Dr Cauanaugh and NP Jeanette Rose are an asset to the University of Maryland at Upper Chesapeake. I highly recommend them if you are in need of spinal issues."

"I had the fortunate experience of being under Dr. Raj Yalamanchilli care for my really bad knees. Both knees need to have TNR (total knee replacement) but we concentrated on the left knee first because of it's extremely bowed appearance, and the bone crushing against bone severe pain I experienced daily. Dr. Raj from the moment I met him was very friendly, professional, compassionate, listened intently, and understood my situation. He patiently took the time to explain what he saw in my x-rays and what would be needed to correct the situation and get me on the road to recovery. During the post op appointment, he answered any other questions that I had and helped me feel really comfortable about my upcoming surgery. The day of my TLKR, he helped me feel confident that I was in good hands and assisted with eliminating any nervousness I felt. I am now 6 weeks post op and doing extremely well. I have been released to resume normal activities and I have a great ROM and extension. He is a fantastic surgeon and beyond reproach. His team of physicians on the day of surgery and attending staff at the hospital were very friendly and accommodating (I needed to stay over night for break out pain) . The entire experience was GREAT! So much so, I am looking forward to getting the right knee done. Thank you Dr. Raj for your excellent bedside manner, and for being a superb surgeon. I definitely without a shadow of doubt recommend Dr. Raj Yalamanchilli for total knee replacement."

"Dr. Raj did my total knee replacement surgery on December 17th 2025..He was so nice and I knew exactly what wad going to happen in surgery and ad I recovered. I had my surgery at the pavillion at Upper Chesapeake. Everyone from start to finish were so kind and I was treated so well. I highly recommend Dr. Raj and his staff and also recommend the Pavillion at UCMC."

"The entire staff is just so nice and welcoming. I saw Eric for a broken hand, and on my very first visit I nearly passed out! He and another staff member got towels and made of makeshift pillow and had me lay on the floor with an ice pack until I felt better. I have never had a medical professional get down on the floor to tend to me before, and that is what he did - wrapped up my hand and made sure I was better. It really left a positive impression on me."
