"I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2016 at the age of 21 by a neurologist who I've been under the care of until this year. I have sought out opinions from plenty of doctors (including doctors in different states!!) who would only prescribe me muscle relaxers which I've always believed was because of my age. No imaging, even after I've requested it! Hope was lost. I have been in consistent pain and told the only solution was medications which I've been on for years. It's not easy being young and getting the stares and judgments picking up your medication from the pharmacy as if I WANT to be on a bunch of pills . Many of times I've cried, wondering what's the >>>problem<<< feeling there's no way the answer is I have to take these pills for the rest of my life. I talked to my mom and told her I was quitting everything cold Turkey. I was going to live in pain because I couldn't take the constant pills every single day while still suffering and that's when my mom recommended me to Dr. Goodman/Dr. Glaser for help. I decided to go see Dr. Glaser and he is absolutely amazing and gave me hope in a world full of doctors that told me I was "too young" to be in pain. Dr Glaser ordered me an MRI and lo and behold, I had multiple herniated and bulging discs in my cervical spine ( currently awaiting my T spine imaging). Dr. Glaser has been more than attentive! He listens, and he gets to the root of your concerns. Every single MA I've encountered or talked with on the phone were kind, helpful, and always got back to me when they said they would, especially David!!!. A team full of great souls! They have really has changed my life!!"

"PA is extremely incompetent. She had no idea that a delayed GI symptoms could even exist. She said there was no such complication. Also she said she was looking at my mri and I never had one. I had a CT. I confirmed what she was looking at and indeed she corrected herself. And this is pain management???? Sad group"
"I've been going to Dr. Glaser for a couple of years. During my first appointment I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. When I left Dr. Glaser's office I was confident I found the perfect doctor. He always takes the time to listen and never rushes my appointment. Dr. Glaser and his staff are professional and caring. His staff always returns my phone calls within an hour. They really take the time to get to know you, which is extremely unusual for a medical practice. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Glaser, Jennifer and his staff. They are truly a 5 star medical practice!"
"I switched to Dr Glaser after 12 years at Rush downtown. The first appt was with Dr Glaser he seemed to listen. The next appt was with a PA named Brittany. I tried to asked questions and all I got was a blank stare back. She couldn't answer a simple question. She told me all she could do was refill a prescription. I told the front desk to never make me another appt with anyone but the Dr from that point forward. The next month I had a appt again with the Dr. He refill my meds. I called the office because he had call my meds to refilled a week out and I was going to b out of meds. At my appt I told the office how many pills I was taking a day. I was totally transparent. The office called me back basically telling me I was lying. I told them I didn't know if there was a mixed up with the dates. I messaged them with the dates I picked up my meds. The number I picked up and how many I took a day. I clearly shows when I would run out of meds. My integrity has never been questioned at any other dr office. Then Dr Glaser wanted me to come in again to talk to him about it. It's an hour round trip. I said I would do a telehealth. He told me I was rude to his staff. No I said his PA was stupid. If he could tell me otherwise I'm open to hear it. Can she answer simple medical question? Then he told me he has trouble keeping staff because people in chronic pain are rude to his staff. Ok that's not my problem that's sounds like his problem. He told me to go to another practice. When I had the teleheath appt with him and we went over the pill count he didn't dispute the amount of pills I had left. So he tells me to go to elsewhere because his office can't count pills correctly. I'm better off without this practice."
"The ABSOLUTE BEST doctor & staff you will find in the greater Chicago area. Will take the BEST care of you & your needs. A doctor & nurse practitioners who will actually LISTEN to you with great empathy & understanding. Could not recommend them highly enough! "
"I went in for a consultation for my severe bulging disc on December 5th. I had been looking forward to it due to the fact that my pain was/is affecting my day to day a lot. I Couldn't sleep, drive more than a few minutes, walk/stand more than a few minutes. I was/am still off of work due to it. I was under the assumption and was telling everyone the appointment was at 3:30pm. I arrived at no later than 3:20pm when I was told my appointment was for 3:10pm and with no sympathy or interest in my well being was turned away and rescheduled for 2 weeks later as if this was a regular check up, not a consultation for my extreme pain. May I add that I had received ONE reminder email ONE WEEK before the consultation that was more worried I told them whether I was vaccinated and brought my insurance and co-pays! NO MENTION of location, the fact that I'm suppose to show up 30 minutes early? For what? I was 5-10 minutes late on accident and there we're still at least 8-10 people in the waiting room! I was not waiting another two weeks just for a consultation. I made a new appointment and was able to get in with Doctor Farooq Khan with modern pain Consultants out of silver cross one week later, which gave me ample reminders of both time, location, and requirements before arriving. I was able to not only find a new doctor, make AND go to the new consultation, but my appointment for the actual procedure is ONE DAY after my rescheduled consultation with pain specialists of greater Chicago. So In the 2 week rescheduling period for being 5-10 MINUTES LATE I was able to go somewhere else and have it fully taken care of. Long story short... for a business that is supposed to be caring for the well being and pain relief of others, they run this place like a overly strict McDonald's, but at least you'll never see a line at a strict McDonald's and the service is good!"
"Dr. Glaser and Dr. Goodman saved my life! I had constant, excruciating pain in my lower back. I could not stand, walk, sit or lie down. I went to the emergency room three times in one month. I was admitted twice for five days each time so I could receive the highest doses of multiple drugs. I was bedridden for a whole month. I wanted to die, the pain was so great. During the ER and inpatient visits NO ONE mentioned a pain specialist. A friend recommended I consider calling one. I called their office from my cell phone while in the hospital and they came to see me on a holiday! The next day I was scheduled for the procedure that would finally end this nightmare. I had a herniated disc that displaced the nerve root. The nerve was probably compressed. The procedure was an injection of long acting steroids. I couldn't believe how long I suffered when there was a solution. I still do not understand why this was never offered to me. The medical industry and insurance companies dictate the standard of care which usually does not benefit you. These doctors truly understood my pain when not many people did. They are caring, compassionate doctors who are skilled at what they do!!! I am very, truly forever grateful to them."
