Select Physical Therapy - Burke - Burke Centre Parkway

"I was hesitant to write a review knowing that it would be attached to my legal name, but I feel as though I have no other choice. My review does not apply to the company Select Physical Therapy, it applies only to the location on Burke Centre Parkway. I've worked with other SPT locations and they were wonderful. I wish I could say the same about the Burke Centre Parkway location, but I cannot. My first complaint would be the receptionist, Kayla. I have watched her ignore countless phone calls, and she even goes as far to tell the other staff members to ignore the phone calls as well. When I need to reach out to the office, I have to call 3+ times consecutively before anyone answers my call. This is ridiculous. When I've called other locations, they answer immediately and with a polite tone. My other complaint with Kayla is that she is quite possibly the rudest person I've ever met. After my appointments, I would always ask her if she needed anything from me, and she would almost always ignore me as if I was not speaking directly to her. The unprofessionalism and attitude problems also extend to the rest of the staff. I've witnessed 3 staff members argue about my care in front of me while I did my physical therapy exercises. I've also had multiple staff members belittle my pain and compare to others who have it worse. This is unacceptable, no one deserves to be in pain and no one deserves to be told their pain doesn't matter. If you are in pain and looking for help, I suggest you look somewhere else for treatment, because you deserve to be treated with grace and care, and this place doesn't offer that."

"The receptionist's conduct was unprofessional and unacceptable (black older age female). I completed all required forms online and confirmed everything by phone the day prior. Upon arrival, I stood at the desk for several minutes while she remained on her phone. Her only greeting was "Yes?" She then claimed a form was missing and made no effort to help resolve it. Despite my daughter's physician being located downstairs and able to provide the form immediately, the appointment was cancelled and my daughter was denied care. As a result, my child is now in pain and without treatment. This was not a clinical issue. It was a front-desk failure and a complete lack of patient care. Multiple reviews already reference this same individual. Leadership needs to address this immediately!!"

Susan, my therapist, was exceptional--her expertise and dedication truly made a difference in my recovery. I always felt supported and motivated throughout my sessions. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of physical therapy!"

"My mother worked with Meetal Patel, PT pre op for knee surgery, she really did not want to do PT but after starting with Meetal she was happy she went and continued to follow up. Meetal is kind, patient, and provides clear instructions/feedback. She is focused on helping her patients improve. Highly recommend!"

"I'm really glad I chose Select PT. Jeff was great because he immediately started out with a full body assessment. I came in for lower back issues, but it was quickly determined that I had a separate issue. Jeff immediately started working on it and he developed a set of exercises for each visit that I can continue at home. I'm very satisfied the service I received and will go back if ever needed."

"DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY will give you the correct copay information. I was stuck with an over $100 surprise bill after months of PT. When you call to ask questions, they will blame your insurance company, they will imply that it's your fault for not double-checking them, and they will not take any responsibility, much less offer sympathy or an apology. I'm extremely lucky I can afford to pay this. I really liked the people working here, but I am incredibly disappointed by this situation. I will never go to another Select Physical Therapy facility. I recommend checking out their many competitors in the area. Edit: I was offered an apology after posting this review, but my opinion of this business remains the same."

"I would strongly recommend Select Physical Therapy at Burke Center Parkway, because they are highly professional, courteous and explain every procedure to the patient. I have been training with Susan Slinkard, for almost two months, and I cannot say enough to describe her serious approach to her work, her care and professionalism. I never heard a single complaint from a patient. I will miss that place."
