"Ten years ago this hospital was rated better than John Hopkins for a year. My wife had a shoulder replacement that was excellent. Shortly after her surgery I went to see her surgeon about my shoulder and was told that I needed a replacement unless I keep it next to my body. Ten years later I have been living as he recommended and I am OK. He was honest! June 2023 I went to Dr Speciale for right leg pain and was told I needed a fusion at L3 and L4 in my spine. A month later he did the surgery and I was ten times worse with pain in my leg and back where I had no pain before which was no better at 4 months out! I tried getting in an appointment thru the Luminis orthopedics which took forever being told that they would E Mail his staff which was a long wait. After the 4 month MRI a visit with him he recommended that I get a second opinion which I did with a John Hopkins surgeon which I had to wait a while. At my visit with the Hopkins surgeon he saw the problem and I had to wait 2 months for the surgery where he found loose screws and infection. Two months after the surgery I was able to ride 900 miles in 16 hours with little or no pain in the same vehicle that I was unable to ride 10 miles after the first surgery. I have suffered deadly side effects of 2 surgeries including overdose of sodium liquids in first surgery and high liquids at second that destroyed my feet capillaries. Almost 2 months of antibiotics for the infection. One and a half years after second surgery back pain has returned and I was told that the screws are probably loose from 2 times in the same bone!! Be 100% sure you need a Fusion!!!!!! I was recently issued a Handicap pass!!!!!!!"

"An absolute embarrassment of a healthcare provider. Luminis Health is a masterclass in how to dehumanize patients. Appointments are double-booked with a lukewarm apology, no accountability, and no shame. Care is denied not because it's unsafe or unnecessary, but because the cause of the injury doesn't meet their requirements. I guess do no harm only goes so far. Go ahead and just spend the entire weekend in pain because you know your treatment can wait for Normal work hours. Doesn't matter if you have an appointment doesn't matter if the scheduler told you you could be seen. Bureaucracy rules over medical judgment and ethics take a backseat to policy games, and patients are treated like disposable problems instead of people who need help. Cold, incompetent, dismissive, and utterly broken this place represents everything wrong with American healthcare. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being ignored, delayed, and denied care."

"Ok, so this location is HUGE and a complete maze. Which is fine if the staff in all the colored pods weren't so rude. I mean it would be great if they could just be nice and help you get to the correct location, but no apparently that is not an option. The reason I am giving it 4 stars is the Doctor I saw for my EMG, Dr.Bambrah. even tho the test is horrid, she was fabulous. So nice, personable, caring, funny and just a pleasure to deal with for a test like this. She explained things, was thorough and even decided not test the other side because the one side was fine and did not feel it was necessary. She said she doesn't believe in doing that. I really was impressed with her bed side manner, she didn't treat me like a nobody like some have done in this practice at other locations. I wish she could be my doctor for this journey I am going thru but sadly she can't. Thank you Dr Bambrah!!"

"Explained the injury over the phone and the specific procedure we anticipated would be needed. They scheduled the appointment. We arrived. The medical staff told us that the procedure was not one that is necessary in most cases... It heals on its own. Word that this wasn't mentioned. Instead they did imaging that wasn't mentioned on the phone nor did we have any reason to believe was necessary. So I guess they just needed us to come down for two hours and get paid."

"On August 3rd, I had a scheduled appointment at 9:30 AM. Upon arrival, I was told that I could not be seen without a referral. I explained that I had one from urgent care, and the front desk staff assured me that this would be acceptable. I was then rescheduled for the following day, August 4th at 6:50 PM, based on this information. When I returned the next day at 6:40 PM, I was met with conflicting and inconsistent information from a different front desk employee. She stated that the urgent care referral would not be accepted because it was not printed. When I asked if it could be printed, she then claimed it would not be accepted because it came from urgent care. I again explained that I had been told the day before that urgent care was acceptable, especially since that's where my X-rays were performed. The reasoning continued to shift--this time to the referral lacking the specific practice name. I asked if I could call urgent care and request a new referral be faxed over. I was told no, due to a "15-minute grace period," even though I was early for my appointment and well within that time frame. I further explained that I am a hair stylist, and standing for extended periods is part of my job. I have a torn ligament in my foot, and the delay in treatment has left me without a brace, cast, or even a doctor's note. Despite this, I was refused care for a second time. To make matters worse, this conversation took place in front of a full waiting room. The front desk employee proceeded to loudly state the type of insurance I have--state insurance--in an unprofessional and humiliating manner. This not only embarrassed me, but also felt discriminatory and dismissive. As a result, my injury remains untreated, and I will be forced to work a 12-hour shift standing on a broken foot--without proper support or documentation--because of this mishandling and lack of compassion."

"My back is still a mess Dr Patton was my surgeon for my two back surgeries. Not compassionate basically called me a liar. My 4th surgery was with a doc in Baltimore. But I believe Dr Patton destroyed my life"

"Liked my first visit with PA. Still waiting, after 7 weeks for pre-authorization for gel injections. My insurance and specialty pharmacy has no record of contact with Luminis sports medicine. Numerous my chart, back and forth. No clear answers. Was told "in process." Called twice and left messages before 3 pm, as only phone option. Was told if call received before 3 pm, would get call back. No call yet. So glad I am not waiting on a surgery pre authorization! Very disappointed with this practice. Will shop elsewhere for future joint surgery."
