"Dr Desai is pleasant, efficient and very helpful. Several months ago we agreed that a spinal cord stimulator should take the place of constant RFAs and periodic steroid injections. My experience was entirely positive and remains so; very little pain following implant; excellent follow-on assistance from the implant technical representative and Dr Desai/team; little to no daily discomfort as I learn the different therapeutic capabilities available. Dr Desai gave me the opportunity to experience relief from excruciating lower back pain. My experience over the last several years has always been positive and the results are very motivating. I trust him implicitly."

"Dr. Kapteyn was thorough, knowledgeable, and really listened to concerns. Quick to want to figure out root cause, treatment options, and further testing. The front desk staff was pleasant, easy to schedule with, and easy to get ahold of. Only downside to the Arlington Office is parking was a bit hectic with several construction zones at the surrounding hospital areas and it is all paid parking so expect to pay for parking both in the garage (ticket receipt pay) and street parking (meter pay). It's well worth the visit to me, but just a heads up to new patients."

"Today was my first visit with Dr. Kapteyn and it was a good experience. He was wearing a mask and explained he was just getting over a cold, and I really appreciated that he wanted to keep his patients from getting sick. Beyond that, his bedside manner is great and he took the time to listen to everything I had to say. My only complaint is that the office is very hot."

"I have been seeing Dr. Kapteyn for several months because of a problem with a herniated disc. I find him to be a very caring physician who takes the time to listen. I never feel rushed during my appointments. Moreover the office is great and I have never had to wait beyond my scheduled appointment time. . Through time, two epidurals and physical therapy, I am seeing considerable improvement."

"I've never encountered a doctor's office as cold and inflexible as this one. If you arrive five minutes past your scheduled appointment, especially when you're already injured and struggling to get there--they cancel your appointment without hesitation or empathy. This place treats patients like widgets on an assembly line, not human beings in pain. There's zero compassion and zero understanding of real-life difficulties. Unfortunately I had the wrong skin color to be offered any grace. If you want to feel like a number instead of a real human being, this is the office for you. Otherwise, find literally anywhere else. Thank me later."

"Dr. Kapteyn along with his experienced team members preformed a knee ablation/nerve to both legs back in October of 2024. Today is April 8th 2025. I waited on writing a review because I wanted to make sure that the results were accurate and that my mind was not playing tricks on me! It's actually the 6 month mark and some information in the medical field say that's when an ablation may start wearing off! It is not wearing off as of yet!!!!! I wanted to leave a review because of the service and professionalism that I received from Dr. Kapteyn. The procedure itself was pretty damn painful. I must say. However, the atmosphere in which I was in for the few hours that it took was quite enjoyable. We were even singing songs together for me to get through it. The sedative meds had me feeling a bit loopy so I just went with it and acted like my goofy self!!!! We had a lot of fun! Not only that I wanted to say what a difference the knee ablation made in my life! I choose not to take prescription opioid painkillers because I am eight years sober today! Pain medication in the past affected my life and a negative way for 10 years. So I've chosen to do this medication free with the arthritis that I have. Today the pain is bearable, and I can live with the levels at where it is now after the ablation. There is still pain, however, having the ablation done has provided me with a better quality of living. I am not in constant pain all the time I can walk further distances and stand longer. I have osteoarthritis bone on bone in both of my knees and I actually need a double knee replacement. I'm taking care of a few medical issues before that surgery So I chose to have the ablation done to buy some time. I was very impressed with the work that Dr. Kapteyn did, the pace that he did it in ...... considering how uncomfortable it was, just the overall atmosphere was Awesome. I'm grateful for the results being positive and that my nerves took to the procedure well. Thank you everybody that was involved. I really appreciate the services and the professionalism. Thx Dr. Kapteyn for making me feel comfortable and confident about the process!"

"Dr. Kapteyn is truly one of the best specialists I've ever met. He has an amazing way of explaining everything clearly and making sure you fully understand your condition and treatment options. He's personable, and genuinely caring -- qualities that make a huge difference when you're dealing with back pain. I usually leave his office feeling informed and grateful for his kindness and professionalism."
