Testimonials
"Overjoyed patient , I am writing to share my exceptional experience with Dr. Nana Sarpong. Dr. Sarpong is a passionate surgeon of excellent character who leads an extraordinary team dedicated to going above and beyond for their patients' care. Dr. Sarpong is an amazing physician who truly cares about his patients. While he successfully performed my hip replacement, he ultimately gave me back my life and my mobility. I recently underwent four successful surgeries for my knee, shoulder, back, and hip, but Dr. Sarpong was the only surgeon who called me personally to check on my well-being. He took the time to personally guide me through the necessary steps for a safe and healthy recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Sarpong and his team for their outstanding medical expertise and patient-centered approach. Best regards, Latonya Lidge MSW"

"To my surgeon, Dr. Nana Sarpong, nurses, patient navigators, physician assistants, physical therapists, anesthesiology team, and the entire care team at Columbia NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains, I want to share my deepest thanks for the extraordinary care I received during my hip replacement surgery. From the moment I arrived, I felt surrounded by calm, competence, and kindness. At the center of that experience was my surgeon, Dr. Nana Sarpong, who was nothing short of extraordinary. His skill, precision, and confidence were evident in every step of the process, but just as important was his humanity. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question with patience, and brought a sense of ease and trust to a situation that could have felt frightening. Dr. Sarpong is a true rockstar, not only because of his surgical excellence, but because of the way he shows up for his patients with care, presence, and respect. I felt incredibly lucky to be in his care. I am also profoundly grateful to Dr. Rozario, my anesthesiologist, and her physician assistant, Kevin, whose calm presence and thoughtful explanations brought me great comfort. In the moments leading up to surgery, they eased my nerves and made me feel safe, seen, and cared for. I am especially thankful for Nurse Mica, Nurse Therese, Nurse Gandi, and Nurse Austin, who cared for me with such warmth, patience, and attentiveness. They made the time leading up to the surgery, as well as the recovery, feel manageable. Nurse Mica checked on me regularly, and provided me with delicious snacks aftewards. Andrew, my Patient Navigator, guided me with kindness and care. Jose, the Physician Assistant, answered my questions with generosity and clarity, and Elizabeth, my Physical Therapist, helped me begin to trust my body again with encouragement and steady support. There were also so many others from the moment I stepped into the facility to the moment I stepped out, who played a part in my care, and while I may not know every name, I felt each act of kindness deeply. Anthropologist Margaret Mead was once asked what the earliest sign of civilization was, and she answered that it was a healed femur. A healed femur, she explained, shows that someone stayed with another person through pain, helped them heal, and stayed by their side. That idea has stayed with me, because it captures exactly what I experienced here. In every interaction at Columbia NY Presbyterian White Plains, I saw that kind of care in action. I saw it in the hands that helped me stand, in the voices that reassured me when I was nervous, and in the steady patience that carried me through recovery. This kind of care is not just medical, it is human, and it matters more than words can say. I will always be grateful for how you cared for me, not only as a patient but as a person. Thank you for making this experience one of comfort, dignity, and genuine compassion. With heartfelt thanks, Urania Mylonas"
