Testimonials

Tara M. Clapper

"Dr. Kline took time to review my records, listen, and also adequately explain. He did not interrupt and he's the first doctor in some time that I felt really listened to me. His staff was very busy but extremely nice. Before I had my EMG test, Dr. Kline and his technician both explained what would happen. It hurt, but they were very kind and comforting. A few times, he said "I definitely believe you are in pain," and it felt good to be heard. This is a doctor who believes in patient access to helpful doctors and the right medicine/treatments."

"Dr. Kline focused more on my husband's symptoms than on the various images and nerve conduction studies that he had reviewed. He recommended starting with conservative treatment aimed at symptom reduction, and he reassured us that he did not see the signs of a more serious condition. My husband and I were both comfortable with his proposed course of treatment and grateful for his clear explanations."

"EDIT: It's more an issue with the practice (in Falls church), but somebody lost the labs for a spinal tap I had done. Apparently the staff member was fired. It took almost 3 weeks for Dr. Kline to reach out- I dont necessarily fault him for that, I understand you want to be sure about something like this before informing the patient. He relayed an apology that seemed genuine which i appreciate, and offered to do the same procedure free of charge. I did not take him up on it, I was wary of the practice afterwards, I think i was also nervous bc i'm one of the lucky few to get a constant pounding headache for 4 days following the procedure and really did not feel prepared to go through that again (I have a lot of medical issues so it takes a lot out of me when something goes wrong). Dr. Kline was professional throughout and his apology seemed sincere, I'm sure it's not easy to tell a patient this kind of news. Overall, I still feel like he's a decent doctor. So, do with that what you will. Recently had a consult with Dr. Kline, he was very laid back yet straight forward. He answered all my questions, without doting on possible complications with my upcoming procedure. My appt was very quick (positive, was worried it would be a long in depth appt but I'm glad it was so brief! didn't need much info). My only complaint was how long it took to hear back from the office to schedule an appt, but I understand how busy their practice is and once I went in, everything was very easy and professional."

He come up with a plan for me of things we could do that would help me. It showed he care and is willing to help me solve this problem. The staff was was friendly and polite. "Dr. Kline and his staff are very kind and caring. Dr. Kline is working hard to take care of my pain. With us working together I may not be totally out of pain but I hope very close to it. I am very happy with my treatment so far."

"I like Dr. Kline. He listens! He's the best pain management physician I've ever seen--and I'm very picky in selecting doctors. Today, we had a useful discussion. I'm sad that he will be moving to Connecticut in late summer."
