Testimonials

"This place is truly a gem. I'm currently pregnant and recovering from a lingering cough, and spending time in the salt cave has helped me more than I expected. It's been incredibly soothing and healing. I loved it so much that I've even brought my family with me. The owner is absolutely wonderful. She is so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. She took the time to show me how to configure the pillows so I could be fully comfortable while pregnant, which made such a difference and made me feel really supported and taken care of. I also had an amazing prenatal massage here that brought significant relief to my sciatic pain. I walked out feeling lighter, calmer, and more at ease in my body than I have in weeks. This is such a special, peaceful, and thoughtfully run space. You can feel the intention behind everything they do. I'm so grateful to have found it and will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone, especially expecting parents or anyone needing true healing and care."

"Yesterday afternoon my husband and I went to The Bethesda Salt Cave to do a 45 minute session in the cave. We got there a little early and the front desk woman was really sweet and let us know they were running about 15 minutes behind. Which is understandable with the weather and things. We didn't mind. It gave us time to browse the things they have on display for sale there. We were given warming eye mask for inside. It was really relaxing. When we came out and were waiting to pay and I got to pet the two dogs that were there and got talking to their owner (which happened to be the owner of the establishment, Janine (I hope I spelled her name correct) about my dogs and it lead to me talking about my health issues. Janine was soooo sweet and so amazing! She started giving me tips and even wrote down some things that may help me. She had me try their amethyst biomat which was amazing and then she even gave me those salt stones to put in my pockets to keep my hands warm on our walk back to our car. She made me a ginger lemon tea which was amazing and we talked about our lives and her making the soaps there. She is such an amazing soul! They were closed before we left and she took time to just talk with me. I wish I lived closer and could come more often! I encourage everyone to check this place out and always take the time to get to know people. I won't share everything we talked about but I wish Janine the very best in life as she is truly an amazing person! She does a lot for others. We never know what people are going though. She made my day! She truly cares about people!"

"We usually really enjoy their salt caves & the owner is really nice. She suggested we try their couples massage and so we did on our next visit. I had a terrible massage with Tiffany and my S.O. had a wonderful one with James. James was courteous & has strong hands, while Tiffany was rude and her massage was so light it did nothing even for relaxation. Warning, I do wonder if Tiffany should be working as she doesn't seem able bodied so I do feel for her. However, as a client I felt as if I did not get a massage with it taking too long for her, with great difficulty to maneuver around and then the cherry topping was she ended the massage early. If we wanted to be charged $290 for super lightly putting massage oil on, I'd do the job myself."

"We enjoyed our first salt cave experience. Staff was super friendly. With allergies and eczema flaring, gave the salt cave with halo therapy a try. We were fortunate to be the only ones in the room. I brought a few toys for the kids and alternated play, meditation, gratitude and deep breathing with them. May or may not be related but my allergies and sinuses feel better. My 2.5yo who usually has congestion at night is sleeping well without congestion related issues. We'll be coming back again! FYI on kids prices: Reserved this online not realizing that there are kids prices. If you intend to book a session with kids, call to make your reservation. (Can't remember but it was priced at something like 1st child 1/2 price and 2nd free)."

"This is literally my favorite destination for wellness in Asheville. I own Be Well Asheville and part of what I do is curate the best wellness experiences for others by providing a directory, events, podcast and other wellness resources. But my favorite thing is weekly, I personally go experience wellness events and venues like the Salt Cave. So far... I'm just telling you... It's my favorite place!"

"Edit: Appreciate the response, but the website issues have been ongoing for months, and definitely since before the snow. Still hoping to visit one day. Website has been down for some time and is otherwise difficult to navigate (on both desktop and mobile), they sadly no longer offer Groupons, and emails and phone calls do not get answered/ returned. The one time I was able to speak to someone on the phone she was polite, but they're clearly understaffed and things are really falling through the cracks."

"The Salt Cave session is exactly what I need to feel revitalized. Each time I visit, I am eager to book another session. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and they genuinely care about your health and wellness."

"When I want to treat myself, I plan a visit to Bethesda Salt Cave for halotherapy. Between the salt rocks underfoot, the ambient lighting and relaxing music, I can rely on the the salt cave to help me unplug and recover from the stress of the world--even if just for a few moments."
