"I first saw Dr. Michael Anvari three years ago for pain in my hip. After looking at my X-rays and MRI he examined me and told me I didn't need a hip replacement at this time but I may need one in the future. Dr. Anvari gave me some options . I elected to attend physical therapy which helped me get by for three years. I returned to Dr. Anvari he advised me I was in need of a total hip replacement. "I have been a patient of Dr. Anvari's for almost a year. After moving from VA to MD he was recommended to me. I called for an appointment and because he was going out of the country for vacation, I was given an appointment several weeks out. Later that day, his office called with an earlier appointment because he did not want me to go that long without being seen, so they changed my appointment to the next week. I should have known that he and his office were going to be amazing from that point, but each time I visit I am so pleased at the service and my interaction with Dr. Anvari. After some straight-forward conversation with him over several visits for steroid injections, I have scheduled a knee replacement for September 2025. "What a great choice I made in choosing Dr. Anvari for, first my left hip replacement three years ago, and just two weeks ago my right knee. The results from both have been beyond what I have read is to be expected as a result of some of the following. His use of state of the art technology in selecting the replacement devices he uses His extreme knowledge of these procedures, which he gladly passes on in easy to understand terms His skill as a surgeon, which in the case of the knee, he applies to the Robotic Operating System to take full advantage of the technology advances available thru robotic surgery. His use of his intelligence and imagination/creativity to do his best to provide a patient with as replacement joint as close to what you were born with in function as possible. All this comes with an very easy going and friendly disposition has made most of my procedures (according to my PT) way ahead of the normal in my recovery and a very pleasant experience (as any surgery can be). I pre researched and extensively read about the procedures before getting them and I must say I am so pleasantly surprised at how well they both went. There are many choices out there when you first start looking for a doctor and I feel I just got lucky when I chose Dr Anvari to perform both my hip and knee replacement(he does use the Rosa robotic surgery system which is reported to lower recovery times and increase the level of success). Big Mountain Skiing less than a year after the hip. Already walking around with a 105 Deg knee bend and Zero(0)Deg straiten Angle just two week after the right knee surgery. I am already planning on being ready for next ski season and once again expect it to be a good one. These are thing most people my age can no longer do(many do not want too) but thanks to Dr Anvari I feel my ability to be physically active will be extended many many years in the future. Recovery has been quick with a minimal amount of soreness which substantially dissipated within a week or so after both replacements. My story but Dr Anvari's work. I truly believe he goes the extra mile (covers all options during surgery and doesn't rush to get the procedure done) so the outcome is a good as possible.
