"I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Athletico. Coming in after hip surgery was honestly intimidating, but from day one, every single person here made me feel supported, motivated, and confident in my recovery. The therapists are incredibly knowledgeable and truly take the time to understand you--not just your injury, but your goals, concerns, and progress. They explain everything clearly, push you when you need it, and are always patient and encouraging. I especially want to recognize Chris, who has made such a huge difference in my recovery. He is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in his patients' success. Chris always takes the time to make sure exercises are done correctly, explains why each movement matters, and creates an environment that is both motivating and reassuring. His encouragement, positivity, and professionalism made every session something I actually looked forward to, even on tough days. What really sets Athletico apart is the people. From the front desk staff to every therapist and assistant, everyone is kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about how you're doing. You can tell they love what they do and want the best outcomes for their patients. The environment is positive, energetic, and reassuring, which makes such a difference during a tough recovery process. Because of this team, I feel stronger, more confident, and optimistic about getting back to the activities I love. I'm beyond grateful for the care, professionalism, and encouragement I've received at Athletico, and I would recommend this clinic to anyone--especially athletes or anyone recovering from surgery. Truly an amazing place with amazing people. "

"I recently visited Athletico Auro East facility for physical therapy on my left shoulder. I had a previous surgery on this shoulder in October of 2025 for a torn labrum the result of that procedure was worse after surgery than it was prior. So my expectations based on the level of pain and the lack of functionality of my shoulder was extremely low meaning that I most likely wouldn't be able to make through the initial assessment or best case 1 week. I was prescribed PT by my new surgeon for 6 weeks. My experience was excellent my PT therapist was Sam T he worked wonders for me I had extreme pain so much that it severely impacted my range of motion and I was going weeks at a time without sleep due to the lack of comfort and pain. Sam T did such a great job with my range of motion that I made it clear that I will see him again post surgery for my shoulder but also for my neck, back, and knee as well. I had previous surgeries on all of them but never was able to complete PT due to failures in the surgical procedures. I am confident this time will be different because I was in very bad shape and now I feel that this next surgery will be the last on my shoulder due to the progress made in PT. The staff at Aurora East is great every single one of them; if I had to describe the environment I would say they provide great care and warmth. They are very caring, patient, and accommodating which another reason why I will be returning as soon as my surgeon give me the green light for PT. I really want to thank them all for taking great care of me and making my experience there very welcoming and that is extremely important to me considering that I am dealing with so much physical pain. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who would require PT they know what they are doing!! Warm Regards, R."

"I have had a really great experience at the Athletico Aurora Eola Rd office. I went there for several courses of therapy over the past 2 years. They have a super strong team of therapists. I personally saw the OT for hand/elbow therapy after carpal tunnel/cubital tunnel surgeries (both sides) and also PT for shoulder pain and weakness. Both the OT (Mark who is specifically hand-certified) and the Physical Therapy team (Chris and Daisy) who worked with my shoulder were very professional, knowledgeable and caring. The support staff were friendly and helpful, there were no mistakes with appointments or billing and they even remembered my name! I would highly recommend this office if you need therapy."

"I tore my thumb tendon and wrist sheath - an extensive injury my medical team wasn't sure I'd fully recover from. For 6 months of intensive therapy, Mark Tehnor (OT) guided me every step of the way with a structured, cautiously optimistic plan. The result? I can now play tennis again and feel fully back to normal! Mark is exceptional. He is an excellent listener with a rare ability to translate what you're feeling into clear, effective action. He provides essential 'homework,' and if you follow his instructions and put in the work, you will recover. I live in Detroit and drove 4 hours each way (even in winter!), to see him weekly - to most this probably sounds crazy but his treatment is absolutely worth the commute. Honestly, I don't think I'd have full range of motion or my current level of hand strength without his treatment. Some OTs can be very aggressive, and while that might work for certain injuries, every case needs a personalized approach, something Mark truly understands. The entire staff creates a warm, positive, and energetic environment that truly motivates you to get better. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate - especially on tough weather days (thank you, Valeria!) - made all the difference. If you need an OT, Mark Tehnor is hands down (no pun intended) one of the best. Thank you, Mark, both Chrises, Noah, Gianna, Valeria, and anyone I may have missed - you've all become like family!"

"A Year of Exceptional Care: I cannot recommend Athletico North Eola highly enough. After suffering a significant injury in October 2024 that required both ligament repair and a capsule release surgery, I spent almost a year undergoing occupational therapy here, primarily with Mark Tenhor. The quality of treatment I received was absolutely fantastic and was instrumental in my long and complex recovery. Dealing with post-operative complications can be mentally and physically draining, but the team's professional expertise--especially Mark's--ensured that every session moved me closer to my goal. The care was comprehensive and genuinely tailored to my evolving needs. Beyond the clinical excellence, the entire experience was made significantly easier by the wonderful staff. It was simple to get on a predictable schedule, and I was able to plan my appointments well in advance, which removed a huge amount of stress. Crucially, the staff is extremely friendly, cultivating a positive and hopeful atmosphere that makes all the difference when facing a difficult recovery journey. They truly care for you. If you are in need of dedicated, high-quality physical or occupational therapy, look no further than Athletico North Eola. They will treat you like family and give you the best chance at a full recovery."

"I would recommend Athletico on Eola Road in Aurora to anyone seeking highly professional, attentive service. I just completed five weeks of post hip replacement therapy with Chris Chalko and his colleagues. It was a superb experience, as was the five weeks of pre-op therapy. Chris and the other therapists, including a "floater" with whom I worked, were knowledgeable, communicative regarding the objectives and progress of my therapy, and were very encouraging throughout the process. Five stars all around."

"Athletico's physical therapists all treated me with respect. I was assigned to Sam, who handled my case with care. His thoughtful attention to my needs, which included making some pivots along the way, allowed me to heal quickly and safely. Every staff member was careful, considerate, and very friendly. The whole facility was impeccably clean, and I often saw staff sanitizing throughout the day. I hope I never need their services again, but I know I will be in good hands should I need continued care."
