"My TKR has gone better than I ever could have expected. I had a few rough PT sessions in the first two weeks but other than that my pain level was totally manageable. I stopped taking prescription pain meds after the first two weeks. Today marks week 12 since the surgery and I have totally resumed my normal life and never really think about my knee. "My full knee replacement surgery did not go well. Almost 2 years later I still experience pain, and wake up every night with knee pain. If you're fortune and your procedure was successful all is well. I had problems and was told there was no need to come back - there wasn't anything else he could do except another knee replacement. I'm not saying that there was malpractice, what bothers me is the lack of care if it doesn't go well."
