"I was referred to this practice after my doctor retired. My first appointment was with Dr. Thimmeneur. He immediately cut my meds in half, meds I had been taking at that dosage for years. When I told him it would be difficult for me to manage my pain on such a low dose he said we would discuss it at my next appointment. On my next appointment, as I expected, I was out of meds and was seen by an APRN who was incredibly rude. She said I needed a procedure to stabilize my sacrum which I knew I didn't need. A incredibly painful and invasive surgery where they actually hammer metal rods from your pelvis into your sacrum. They explained it as a "minor procedure" that I would be in "some"pain for a day or two but that was it. When I looked into it, I learned it took a minimum of six weeks to recover. Considering I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis, hammering into my back could be very dangerous. Anyway, when she saw I was nearly out of meds, she told me I had a problem and would only give me half of the half I had gotten the month before. The next visit I saw someone completely different who, upon seeming me actually said, "I don't know you"!!! She then told me I had opioid use disorder and gave me suboxone. I went through two days of terrible withdrawal and pain. But they continued to push the surgery, even scheduling it! I finally saw Dr. Thimmeneur again. He called me stupid and when I explained what I was going through, then he looked at my images and said, "yes, that has to be very painful". The next time I went back I was given nothing and ended up in the emergency room in withdrawal. I never went back, it has been months. The kicker was a letter I received from them last week. It said I was being discharged from the practice for getting my meds from a different provider. Their motivation seems to revolve around screwing your insurance company with unnecessary procedures and surgeries. This is a horrible place with some of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. They seem to have forgotten that the people they are treating are in pain. Legitimately!"

"I was disheartened to see the negative review left on the Woodbridge location as my experience with this office as well as other locations have been vastly different over the past 3yrs I was a patient. I LOVE the puppy first of all. He's part of the family. I have been in and out of numerous clinics/offices for pain over the past 5yrs and these people are the ONLY ones who have TRIED to help me. They've put forth the effort to try to find solutions for my case. They never once threw their hands in the air like every other Dr/surgeon has. Aside from how wonderful they've been medically, the ladies in that office have become friends. They are so compassionate, supportive, quick to respond to issues, and have gone above and beyond for me personally. They genuinely do care about their patients which is a rarity in this specialty. By far the best office staff I've experienced. I used to get panic stricken prior to every appt with past providers because of the way I was treated even though I was always compliant. My anxiety was just terrible for days prior. For YEARS. This office erased that. I actually looked forward to my appts. The "pill counter" Is anything but just a pill counter. Her name is Angelica, and she GOES HARD for her patients. That girl advocates like no other. She does the work behind the scenes patients don't get to see too often unless they are back there with her. She's on the phone with pharmacists making sure patients have their medication in time and doesn't take their crap if they make things difficult for the patient which we pain patients know happens all too often. We are LUCKY to have her! I've never smelled anything animal in that office and I'm the type of person who is the one to smell something when nobody else does. That puppy is GREAT to have around for the patients and very well trained to not run under feet. Dr. Thimineur would never allow the puppy to be in the office if he thought it was a threat to his patients or a liability (neither would puppy's owner) trust me. He's our in office therapy dog. I've seen that puppy put so many smiles on patients faces especially the wheelchair bound and elderly. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course, but go be a patient at 10 other pain specialists offices THEN circle back and rank this one. I'm devastated to have lost my care here due to insurance reasons. I know I'll never find another office like these guys or care like this ever again."

"Dr Mark Thimineur is caring about people who have limited options. I have spinal stenosis which caused me to fall down in PAIN and eliminated walking for me. I WAS NOT OPERABLE. He cured me with spinal injections and eventually a spinal implant that eradicated my pain altogether. I can walk today and have a life due to his care, I highly recommend him for PAIN management. This was in 2016. In 2022 I updated this review to be mor current: I have the utmost confidence in every aspect of my care with Dr Thimineur. I am still active and moving around pain free at 87 due to the 2 Implants Dr Timineur installed in my neck and my lower back. Both required for stenosis of the spine. Without these implants, I was in severe pain and could not walk. Dr Thimineur gave me my life back!! Bless him, and wonderful that I found him! In 2025 I updated this review a second time. I am 89 now and still going strong with my implants in my lower back and neck. I have no pain in my back whatsoever and have not had a spinal stenosis problem since my back implant was installed in 2016 and 90% improvement in my neck. Dr Thimineur has improved my life beyond belief. I am Eternally Grateful to him for my well being and a pain free life!."
