"It has taken me a little while to write this review. Dr Alexander did a TKA on my right knee. Immediately after in the hospital I knew something was wrong. I was running a fever and generally felt terrible. Everyone was being dismissive even hospital staff. I was discharged after 2 days still feeling terrible. I was in quite a bit of pain when I got home and was told every body heals differently. Mind you, Dr. Alexander had done my left knee the year prior with no problem. Anyway, I went back to Dr. Alexander 10 days later to have the staples removed. At that point, the incision looked terrible. The incision would not close. They tried using a wound VAC, I went to another physician to have him close it, they put me in a rehabilitation center for two weeks to get it to close with different approaches. Incision finally closed after many many weeks. Well, it ended up closing infection inside my knee. A very bad infection. Which landed me back in the hospital having the prosthetic removed being on IV antibiotics for eight weeks and then oral for the next year. Needless to say, I switched doctors when the infection was found. My new physician advised me that the infection had traveled far down into my tibia and I could've lost my leg and possibly my life because the infection was so severe. If Dr. Alexander had listened to me when I kept saying, there was a problem maybe just maybe I wouldn't have had such a bad infection. This is just a warning if you plan on using this doctor, he does not listen."
