Testimonials

James Pisano

"The whole staff from the front desk to the PTs at Spear Cobble Hill are kind, professional, and helpful. I worked with Jake for a few months and made quick progress. The exercises and treatment were constantly tailored & evolved to match my abilities, pain, and needs. He was very personable and clearly cares about all his patients. Would recommend both Spear and Jake to my loved ones."

"I worked with Dania for a full year after tearing my ACL, and I can't recommend her highly enough. She's the reason I'm fully back to my normal life and sports. I first saw her in February 2025 after a ski accident left me with a torn ACL and damaged MCL. I couldn't walk, was on crutches, and had no idea how to prepare for surgery. My surgeon wouldn't operate until I regained full flexion and extension, and Dania got me from completely immobile to walking + hitting those metrics in just one month. She gave me clear pre- and post-op exercises and checked in before and after my surgery too. Post-surgery, I had to rebuild everything again from walking to progressive load to regaining muscle and so much more. Dania's expertise and consistency made the process manageable. Every session was data-driven: she measured my flexion and extension, tracked my strength + stability work, and increased difficulty at exactly the right pace. With major muscle atrophy and a hamstring graft, I needed targeted rebuilding and she adjusted my program constantly to make sure I regained strength evenly. Three months after surgery, I was cleared to run. By six months, I was running 5Ks and lifting regularly. By nine months, I was running 7+ miles, lifting heavy, doing yoga and bouldering again -- with both legs equal in strength and muscle density. What sets Dania apart is that she pushes you, safely and confidently. I never had an "easy" session, and that's exactly why my recovery was so fast -- even my surgeon was surprised at every post-op check-in. While I wouldn't wish a torn ACL on anyone, if you happen to find yourself in that situation or similar, I cannot recommend Dania enough. She is exceptional."

"I really enjoyed my time working with Gleb at Spear Cobble Hill! I sought out physical therapy for my knees which were causing me pain. Gleb helped me pinpoint the problem and created a plan to build my strength to alleviate my symptoms. After working with him for a couple months, I can say I am generally pain free! I appreciated his caring and upbeat personality. I've been to a different physical therapist office in the past and Spear was much more thorough and supportive. Everyone in the office is very kind. I'll definitely be back in the future, if needed!"
