Testimonials

Elae Moss Benedetto

"In an increasingly unaffordable city where this kind of radically healing, supportive care can be inaccessible to most, this new Community Acupuncture clinic is a much needed gift to the people! Rooted explicitly in trauma-informed, accessibly care and social justice principles, Common Good Acupuncture is an oasis of possibility -- what's possible when we don't only think but BUILD outside the box! They're offering even cheaper welcome packages than the standard super affordable sliding scale, as well as free NADA ear acupuncture clinic days (one is coming up on May 1). Supporting a space like Common Good is truly ... supporting our common good. Help spaces like this grow and help others heal and get the care they need by checking it out and telling your friends!"

"This clinic has managed to recreate what feels like the golden era of community acupuncture clinics in Brooklyn. The treatment area itself is a classic community type set up. Several gravity reclining chairs (of varying sizes to accommodate all bodies!) are all arranged, and the walls are covered in the most gorgeous colorful quilts. A large and accessible bathroom is available in the back of the space as well. In terms of the treatment process, Arielle chats with you ahead of time, and then explains how the treatment will go. Then she inserts the needles and leaves you to rest. I appreciate that she reminds folks to keep their voices low, and hold post-treatment discussions outside of the treatment room. That can be a tricky thing to navigate, but it's a good boundary to keep so that the environment can remain peaceful, and each patient can have privacy and space to discuss their needs. Offering affordable acupuncture for working class people is so important, and Arielle has managed to bring that back again. Bushwick really needed this :)"

"The space is really beautiful and safe feeling. It is wonderful to feel cared for and listened to. And I immediately went to sleep... I will be back!"
