Testimonials
"After experiencing new excruciating pain in my lower back, and along my right side for several weeks I knew something wasn't right. I called the appointment line at MedStar Orthopedics and the scheduler listened to my symptoms and assigned me to Dr. Zan Naseer. The scheduler (I believe his name is Tim) gave me excellent advice with respect to having a MRI before the appointment with Dr. Naseer (if at all possible)-so I followed his advice. I just met with Dr Naseer today and I totally agree with the ratings. Having worked in the field of Clinical Research myself for decades, I truly appreciated the warmth, education, and compassion Dr. Naseer demonstrated. Moreover, I appreciated the patient-centered approach allowing for me to choose the next level care to treat my symptoms. Dr. Naseer looked at my MRI and immediately identified and discussed with me the problem at hand. I left his office confident in the level of care I received and just as importantly, I felt heard. I highly recommend Dr. Naseer! If surgery was ever needed my apprehension would be significantly reduced knowing he would perform the procedure."
"Dr Zan NASEER was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about my back problem. I research all my doctors prior to going and Dr NASEER truly is extraordinary. We discussed my pain and decided to first try physical therapy for the problem and see if that resolves it. If not then he suggested further imaging with surgery being the last resort if necessary. I would highly recommend him for any back problems that you may be experiencing. I am very satisfied with the appointment I had with him. He's the best"
"Dr Neeser was very good took his time told me the way it was He is Cautious and conservative He was very informative And, I felt better after talking to him about my cspine issues-- that is saying a lot bc I have high anxieties!! He kept me calm by telling me facts and being confident I'd recommend him for your ortho/spinal issues Matter of fact my husband is going to make an appointment soon with him about it his back!"
"Was referred to him for a 2nd opinion. He ordered more MRI's of my cervical (neck) spine, thoracic ( trunk) spine. The other surgeon already ordered MRI and X-ray of my lower spine (lumbar). So, the conservative surgeon, 2nd opinion, says I most definitely need lower back surgery and he tells me my neck isn't all that great. But I was included in everything and everything was explained to me. I've used Medstar providers in the past and have been very happy with my care."
"Dr. Naseer was fabulous to have as my surgeon. He listened to what pain I was having, had an MRI completed and showed me what was wrong. Surgery went great and pain is gone. I would recommend anyone seeking help with any spinal pain to see Dr. Naseer"
"He is one of the most personable physicians with a sense of humor. He explained everything in such detail that I didn't leave the office wondering what he actually was saying. The office visit was quick and thorough. I waited less than 4 minutes to be seen. However, the front desk clerk wasn't too friendly and did NOT communicate at all except asking my name and getting my payment. Nevertheless, I will definitely return and I recommended relatives to him also!"
"Front office was very professional and Dr. Naseer really seemed to listen and show great concern about what I was saying. I didn't feel like I was on an assembly line."
"Dr. Naseer was very much unprepared to handle my case of 3.5 years properly with our first consult together. Also, after reviewing his notes after my appointment, they are either false or grossly misrepresented as well as pertinent information given was not added. I prepared my own notes for him prior to my appointment which he didn't look at them. His lack of wanting to help and his gross negligence to properly help me has only continued my severe pain to be untreated even longer. After reading the hippicratic oath, he has seemingly failed in three areas. I reviewed Dr. Naseer's Medstar biography along with all of his great reviews. Why and how this happened has me in absolute awe, considering his biography stated his specialities as being the best for for me. His lack of allowing me to discuss my case and his direct and incorrect diagnosis has led me to contact patient advocacy of Medstar and Medstar corporate offices in an attempt to correct this entire mess. Had he been prepared properly for my case, he would have known this is a neurogenic problem and not vascular, but he simply didn't put forth the effort one would expect from a specialist combined with 4 years of pertinent information that I have gathered myself. I also expressed two known facts of my symptoms from ociputal neuralgia, of which he simply said I was wrong. I didn't argue, but after my appointment looked up the information again and discussed this gaslighting with my Physical Therapist, and both my search and consult reviewed, in fact, that I was correct. I'm unable to perform any function without causing more pain, I've been out of work for 5 months from the severity of pain, and he disrespectfully put in my history, "No restrictions." I'm truly at a loss for words how a specialist so highly reviewed could neglect and ignore a patient trying to advocate for myself to achieve much less to no pain, which has been ongoing and noted from several doctors and tests, up until my appointment with this so called 'specialist.'"
